Always wanted to name a kid Misato, but it's too Japanese. Misa sounds a bit more normal. Lain is cool too. Used to work in a dvd store, guy came in. Alice is a fine name and maybe I'll give her my sister's name for her middle name, but that's as far as it goes. I don't want my kid to be ostracized because I gave her a ridiculous name.

Since about five years ago, I've wanted to name my kid "Simone" if she's a girl.

It was the name of my friend's sister, and I thought it was pretty nice. Unusual, but not too unusual. Pronounced See-mohn.

Except, of course, now I'm afraid if I ever do that people will think it's a Gurren Lagann reference. Yeah, I know that's "Shee" instead of "See", and spelled differently, but I'm paranoid like that.

Give them a biblical first name and a Japanese middle name, no matter what they look like.
