I mean I've been getting horribly beat down lately. Which in a way is a good thing, if I only fight people on my own level I probably won't advance much past that level of play, but when I fight against people who are better than myself, I can gradually get better from experience and losses. Strangely enough it seems that to win, I must first lose. I'm not horribly wrong in thinking that, am I?

The best thing to do is to watch your opponents B&Bs. Once you get a rhythm of their attack and their particular heights and such, you can begin to block a lot more effectively. As I rule of them, though, you should crouch-block the moment you get up. And if you can block well, you can begin to bara cancel and get quick payback.

It's always a treat watching evenly matched players, whether casuals or WORLD CLASS.

I dare say even casuals may be more interesting to watch...because it's not the same thing over and over again. It's fun watching people try and learn and adapt rather than watching people just constantly reacting to an opening for their BnBs.

No real comments on this match. Both players just need to tighten up their play a tad, perhaps be a bit more aggressive. You guys retreat often when you should press on.

Ah Ramen, very GGs as usual. I wish everyone I played was as similar in skill to me as you are. Spamming blood rings and fire columns, we take the whole clock each round almost. Fire columns are cheap on the Shiki's, especially Nanaya, his 214B/C both dash right into it.

I'm not sure if it was the spacing or if you just forget, but make sure you hold forward when you try to do your air grab. A lot of missed opportunities because you wiffed most of those.
