No reason to do that really, they kept the shapes so simple that any kind of decent quality scan will be more than enough for the program to recognize. Has to be that way anyway, because there are so many different kinds of webcams out there that it would be impossible to make sure every one of them recognizes complex shapes that would require such quality prints.

Did you run the exe, or the shortcut? Exe needs the path to the Media directory and a garbage word as parameters otherwise it won't work.

The shortcut just calls "ArFigure.exe ..\Media wargharbl", you can recreate it if it doesn't quite work on your system (I've never sent a lnk file before, maybe I should have used a bat file instead...)

I can't get this thing to run for the life of me. I searched for the .exe, found four directories, two with a exe size of 720kb and two with a size of 724kb. Some but not all parent directories of these contained a Media directory, each with different contents. And wherever I try to install either patch, when I run the program, it doesn't launch. I get no error or anything, only a logfile like >>1618987 sometimes, depending on which of the four directories I try. I tried Windows 2000 as well as XP. No luck at all. I'm probably a huge idiot. ;_;

Grab the one directory that's a couple hundred meg big, that's the one you want. The others are only a couple of meg big and unnecessary.

The two files in my patch archive should then go in the arfigure subdirectory, overwriting the original arfigure.exe. Then you doubleclick launch.bat.

There are two hands (grab and poke), 5 cube sides, 3 cards (gift, stop, closet) and a marker called package which is something that my aunt gave me that I don't know what it is.

Once I've decrypted the marker files I'll put see about putting together some good quality pdfs or something.

Just use explorer search to find where it hides on your boot drive (it only asks for a serial after it's installed, so it'll be hiding there somewhere.) Or...

After unpacking the original install archive, just go into the ArFigureUpdator_1_1_3_7 subdirectory and rename every file to get rid of the .deploy extension that's on all of them. Then use that directory instead. :O

This. But unless you're stupid or insane you'll want to use an automatic file renaming tool such as "Bulk Rename Utility" (google it) because there are over 1000 files to rename.

Then it's a problem with your camera recognizing the shapes of the cube. You should try: using a higher resolution for you prints, make the cube bigger in general and try to glue it together in a way that the important features aren't blocked by any leftover glue or tape. If all that fails it's probably your cam

I got a 9800GX2 in my Vista PC and it still doesn't run, so yeah. All the hardware in the world isn't gonna save you if the game is made by a Japanese company and will thus not run on anything but WinXP.

Can't really say you need a good graphics card though, the program runs on my eeePC (XP obviously) with 1GB ram and some ultra shitty 128MB on board graphics chip just fine.

Ok, i removed the .deploy extension from all the files, applied the patch and ran the launch.bat. I get the ARFigure window with the "Now loading" for a while, then the webcam becomes active, but nothing else happens. Only the ARFigure getting info from the cam.
