I'm glad that this VN is almost impossible to adapt into anime or manga. ZTD was like watching interactive anime with bad cgi animation. Kind of a preview of another timeline where they tried to adapt Ever17 into anime.

>> No.16947545

>>16947530
ZTD should have just stuck to visual novel format. Then it would have had more time to flesh out it's concepts/characters, the plot would move around at a better pace, some of the twists would have seemed less like asspulls, and we wouldn't have had to look at that ugly CG wreck. If they didn't have the budget to make the graphics look good at all simple 2D art would have worked much better.

There's a manga of ever 17, it's the closest thing we'll get to an anime adaptation, and shows how misguided the whole thing is. They have to toss out the big twist right away, and it covers the Tsugumi route only.

I always thought it was kind of bizarre, maybe it's just my perception but years ago it seemed like Ever17 was on the most well regarded VNs out there in the west. Typically it was either it, F/SN or Clannad at the top of VNDB's list, but after reading it I went looking through pixiv and the boorus and was quite surprised at just how little popularity it had in Japan.

That trait carried over to the Zero Escape series too. I wonder what it is.
