I'm a little torn when it comes to the yandere.
On one hand, I figure about the only chance I have at any sort of lasting relationship would pretty much have to be with someone obsessive and unhinged enough to not be inclined to leave the second someone better came along.

I don't think those are really examples of yandere. The driving force behind a yandere's obsession seems more psychologically based, whereas the obsessions of those fangirls and groups seems more based on their hormones and the natural tendency for people to want things they cannot have.
