Fumos in storage anon here. Two pieces of great news after picking them up yesterday!
They don't smell at all, and there were more girls in the box that I didn't know I had bought! I thought I only had Marisa, Tewi, and Sanae. I'm so happy I could cry.
I spent a long time de-tagging and hugging each of the girls, and I will try to get back into the games with their support.
I've already made a list of which other girls I want and there are too many of them, I can't see this ending well but at least I'll be surrounded by soft.

Has anyone successfully modded Reimu's ribbon to stand up better? I was thinking some type of bendable wire, but I dunno how hard it would be to get in there properly.

I probably should have put this in my last post but it skipped my mind. This being my first neso, I'm really happy with it. The clothes feels a bit similar to that of fumo clothes but some of the parts are more course, like the orange blazer.
The clothes seem like they would pick up lint and dust like a magnet, nothing a fumo enthusiast would be a stranger to. When cleaning a lint roller could certainly work. The skin and the hair are the softest part of the plush and they are very very soft. The sleeve cuffs are very nice and fuzzy.
A neso seems to work very well as an armrest or a pillow and it makes me really glad I bought this. It's a very squishy and soft plush and it's nice to have. They make fun mounts for fumos too.

Really, it's the main determining factor for cell phone pictures. If your pictures are bad the lighting is probably bad. Natural lighting from the windows is your best bet, but if you don't get much a small lamp would work fine. You can even resort to flash if you feel like you need to.
