Something like SSiB is the last thing Japanese ZUN and Aki Eda should be working on; they both specialize in stories that are about walking slowly and tea drinking.

SSiB is weak and has pacing problems because they simply aren't good at this type of story. But at least they tried, and I'm sure this will be a learning experience for both of them.

The pace was alright for a serialized manga. It's been almost two years since it's release and we are reaching the end this year certainly. The thing is that, well, nothing really happens and then suddenly Yorihime is kicking everyone's ass. People didn't liked that I think. And Aki Eda has a nice style, but it shows she can't keep up the quality shown in her doujinshi.
