It's just a matter of keeping large dust particles and debris out of the IR grid.
It's not that hard to do, sometimes it just needs to be done quite a bit if the venue is dusty.
Seriously, just bring a towel with you whenever you go play. Wipe from the edges to the center, it really helps a lot. You can even get disposable dry dusting cloths.
Worst case scenario the sensors might need to be blown out with some air. But Dancerush doesn't run on some kind of voodoo magic. People stomping on the pads aren't going to affect sensitivity. People stomping in heels or hard shoes might scuff or scratch the pad, but I don't think I've ever seen a broken or cracked Dancerush stage.

Drummania is something else entirely. It's pretty easy to fuck up a cymbal. But the reason they stopped bringing the Gitadora cabs around because they weren't nearly as popular as other games. They felt the truck space would be better used for something else.

for iidx, you want a 37" TV but nobody makes them anymore, so you're stuck with a 40" like on uniana cabs

Try the Samsung MU6290/6300 if you can find it, it's a black friday TV that is no longer manufactured. I think the model number changed to NU7100, and is now the RU7100. There will probably be a buget model of the last two eventually, or you could find the NU7100 open box or clearance somewhere.

The last two models are slightly faster than the first, but its response time is slightly worse so it's slightly blurrier, which sucks but it's still on the whole better than most iidx panels in terms of blur.

Don't worry about input lag all too much for rhythm games because offset exists. Unless you're playing pop'n or whatever.
