/a/ never recovered from the split, all that's left is to remember the good times we had, and try to keep a few good threads every once in a while.
It's in the nature of any internet site to complain about its quality and state, even though it isn't so bad. It's not surprising that people are already saying that /jp/ is not like it used to be, when we are barely one year old.

I had a great time on my first winter as a tripfag in /a/. We played around with russia's scripts and tried to do the /a/lbum, uploading a fuckton of music to some contributed ftp server. The abuse hand and anon-tan edit storms were around that time too, and you could see a lot of original content among the anime discussion and trolling.

Now, well, they're shitstorming over Naruto spoilers. Naruto for fucksake. The /a/ we knew is gone, only a few things are still decent, but they're getting overrun by the decrease of quality. So it goes.

What we can do is stall that inevitable time when /jp/ becomes inhabitable through quality posting and contribution. Hold it together as long as we can, and cherish the good times we have.

As shitty post awaits us on the horizon, we cannot turn a blind eye to this "problem." If things get worse on /jp/, I propose we start a "moral janitor" campaign to counter this problem.

Maybe we shouldn't worry about things so much. Just take it easy and enjoy things as they come.
To better the boards not just by negative reinforcement, but by trying to have a positive effect. Instead of seeing the wrongs of others, to look at one's own and improve. That way, when things inevitably go south, I can live with myself. That I didn't just complain and sage and report, but that I tried to improve the boards by improving myself.

But that's me. I need to take things less seriously and just go with the flow, find greener pastures when the time comes.

You were wrong. Just finished it, it was great. Not the greatest thing I've seen, but definitely a good watch.
I was a bit put down with the dramatic dialogues in the last episodes, but it wasn't boring or pretentious.
I guess I went in with some factors that made me enjoy it more. I really like slice of life stuff, and the third world country plot really spoke to me.
