Also, this caravan event is some god damn tease. Rival SSRs show up and even show themselves as one potential reward for defeat but only the skill books ever drop. I also don't know what makes a good scout team, so it always seems like I'm never doing enough damage. I'm having to go through my entire 230 scout points to finish off these SSRs.

Quality vs quantity sort of problem. No way to tell what the third scene will be either, and I don't think there's a resource anywhere that lists them.

And the sp thing is to be expected. If there's any event that everybody grabs their refills for, it's caravan. Chance at a crapload of tickets and any extra SSR dupes you end up with are applicable for trade gacha, so it's kinda understandable that the drops are skewed. Eventually it stops being about whether or not you have the resources, but the tedium of chasing rivals when they're constantly running away.

I don't think there's much to think about for your scout team; just throw together whoever has the highest stats. I forget when they handed out Mikoto's LR freebie, but she obviously goes in there. Poking at rivals for 30k or 100k damage at a time is normal. When anybody in your production uses those gold cards, you'd better know how to spam tabs to get the most out of those 5 minutes of bonus damage.

The auto party seems to put together anyone with the most cumulative stats, so it includes Penguin Ruru since she's the most finished of my SSRs (thanks gacha?) but she is completely defensive focused. When I said spam tabs, I meant more along the lines of middle-clicking or ctrl+clicking the quest button or 20/50 scout buttons, then reloading the frame to check the outcome without having to go through the intermediate "animations." You can do this in rapid succession 2-3 times, but don't spam too many connections or they'll boot you out of the game for 5 minutes or so. You can clean up the tabs afterwards; "close tabs to the right" and whatnot.

Gameplay and visual effects are lackluster. Amassing evolution materials takes a long time as raid boss stamina regens very slowly (1 point every 2 hours, used to be 3) but evolved girls are much more powerful. Refilling stamina and raid points increases as you get closer to the max 30 daily limit which is annoying.

Gacha rates is 2.5% for 6 stars, forgot the rest. Weapons are mixed in and if you get dupes you'll get the girl's weapon instead so you can limit break her specific weapon.

Lots of stages to do, some are deceptively hard despite the recommended power level.

This might be an unpopular opinion but I don't get the hype for Moneti. Moneti's art is admittedly gorgeous and I do like her preference for more natural hair colors, muted color palettes, and realistic dress styles - but she's got one of the worst sameface cases in the game outside of maybe shuz and a few of the other hyperstylized artists, and only knows how to draw one body type well. All but 2-3 of her girls are just defoxed Lycoris clones with a different hairstyle and dress.

Today was a good day.

So, let's talk about the final Aqua Shadow stage. As far as I can tell:

>Sleeping Princess, having awakened at the end of the first Laeva showdown, appears in person. Her knight identity is Silk Tree/ネムノキ (related to Sensitive Plant, and called sleeping tree for similar reasons) and she was the Lotus Lake queen during the great war a thousand years ago.
>She developed aqua shadows from excess water after the demon king (ultimate final boss who was summoned to Spring Garden by the Kodaibana queen and corrupted the pests) sunk the entire nation under torrential rain, while Laeva built Lotus Lake's underwater city against that disaster. They still call it Lotus Lake during the past segments, but it seems that the place wasn't even a lake before that event (since it's explicitly Egypt-inspired, maybe it used to be more of a river settlement?)
>Aqua shadows are potent enough to single-handedly turn the tide of the war, but unfortunately, the demon king then decides to personally strike Silk Tree with a curse similar to the corruption he set on pests. This curse is so powerful that it strains the demon king himself to use it (so pest attacks stop and they essentially win the war), couldn't be undone, and would both kill her and spread to others in time, so she is sealed with the help of LL's worldflower and Nereida is later formed to find a long-term solution.
>Laeva tries to figure why the demon king would attack Silk Tree with a curse so costly that he wouldn't even use it on Phos and the first hero, and realizes that her support made her queen the highest-priority target on Spring Garden. You can read the exact moment her heart breaks.
>Use of aqua shadows is forbidden after Silk Tree's sealing (since an army of undying battle fanatics isn't a good thing to have in peace), but Laeva is angry about the memory of her queen being forgotten, and gets exiled for retaining them.
>She becomes bitter, decides that Lotus Lake's people are weak, stupid, ungrateful cowards who couldn't live without protection but ditched their savior the moment it became expedient, and says she would rather build a country for aqua shadows. This gets her killed by a nameless soldier who was originally sent to bring her back, but had the sense to nip that problem in the bud. But her vengeful spirit remains in the water...
>Back to present: Laeva is so far gone now that not even Silk Tree can convince her to stop (having an aqua shadow body probably didn't help either), and we finally get the cool no-holds-barred rooftop battle we were promised (Danchou also passes out and the tower makes Laeva's memories leak into him before this, which is how we get her backstory). She still wants to go on even after all her resources are exhausted, so Silk Tree seals her into an aqua shadow stone to prevent her from destroying herself (and possibly rehabilitate her).
>Silk Tree purifies the magical rain that was spreading aqua shadows all over Spring Garden, and Laeva uses the last of her power to appear in a dream and beg us to replace her as her queen's supporter. So ends a thousand-year war.

And speaking of Lotus Lake matters, the other lady at >>21944476 might be another equivalent to Blood Iris/Rabbitear Iris... and since she's got that mouse familiar, she's clearly a homage to Trinoid Ayameganezumi and will have glasses, right? We've had no new glasses girls in 2019 yet, and while Valentine's Cymbidium is great, it's about time for some more.

Assuming you've cleared out the current event shops, basically any endgame maps will provide you a small trickle of them over time so you should decide which to run based on what else the map rewards that you need. If I recall properly I think the current event maps and whaleship stages usually have the highest chance of dropping them, but you'd need to run the stages literal hundreds of times to get anywhere near a respectable sum of ampules so I'd say just farm depending on the current stamina discounts and whatever else you need instead of hunting purely for ampules.

My point is not what's happening in this event but what's going to happen in the future. This the second event and probably a "filler" event at that. Fact is that in these kinds of games powercreep is inevitable for the bonus stuff so I am fully expecting the EX stages to go up in power requirements and with that the rewards will likely improve too where as story maps will probably stay the same because they want people to see those pretty easily even if they haven't played since the start. With the power creep ancient characters will probably be the way to go.

You definitely can. I did only EX stages in the last event and finished like 4 days before the deadline using only natural regen during the whole event and only having Seimei's extra +10%. After all that I still walked away with a team with a power level of ~12k so it's not like my character progress stopped during the event. This event doesn't seem much different or even maybe a little faster since by picking you can skip the shit rewards. So far this game has been casual as fuck.

This really reminds me of when Azur Lane was released in english and people were making noise how important it was to minimize stamina costs when in reality you got so much stamina you were basically drowning in it. Sure enough skip a few weeks and no one really cared and the general advice became to use what you like.

Dailies in E*S cost 12 AP at absolute best. Grab a 2 AP unit of the right class, throw them out to the first available free quest (Zipang) with a good support, run it twice (3 fights x 2 AP each x 2 runs), done. And AP recharges at a minute each, so it's probably halfway or more refilled by the time you finish. Plus you always get 100-200 AP for doing them. If you do one of the dispatch quests that also gives 100 AP for your daily, you can net up to 300 AP for doing them, easy, at a cost of 12.

Yeah, she's solid as a first rainbow. HP recovery is lousy if not linked to a skill/supported by a debuff team, but dodge makes up for it. The rest of her kit is crit-based, which is good because it counters DPS race bosses they've been implementing lately.
