FSN is a collection of cool things that doesn't really come together. I liked so much about it, but at the point when I finished reading and unlocked the final ending of Realta Nua I was pretty conflicted about the whole and, honestly, tired of it.

Strengths:
- Visuals. It is a visually beautiful work with tons of special effects that shows the strengths of the medium. It is a VN that would not have been the same as an LN or a manga.
- Some scenes are beautiful and captivating. Some interludes in particular have an amazing atmosphere. When we cut to Saber fighting somewhere far away from Shirou and the narration switches to third person it's just hnngggg.
- Thrilling plot. It is nothing special but it is exciting and unpredictable enough. Unfortunately, the unpredictability comes at a price.
- Many memorable characters. The character design is top notch. FSN could not have become a massive franchise without it. The characters have distinct personalities.
- Good and varied music. Appropriate sound effects.
- Full voice acting in Realt Nua. The main girls' voice are really pleasant.
- Tiger Dojos. They are fun. All VNs that aren't extremely grim and serious should have them.
- Most bad choices kill you immediately. You don't read a failure route for 10 hours after making a game-ending choice.

Weaknesses:
- Filler. Although I didn't hate the cooking as much as some /jp/sies, there were too many domestic, schools and dream scenes that served no real purpose. You could probably cut the VN down to 2/3 of the length without making it worse.
- Repetition. I didn't need to see Shirou's dreams so many times.
- Questionable surprises. Certain plot twists come with no hints and no anticipation.
- Poor English translation. There won't be another unless TM remakes FSN.

I never read it. Why does Shirou have a servant if he didn't intent to participate? Why does Illya have a servant if all she is, is a tool? What would happen if she won?
