In her argument with Lilly, I think some people get the wrong idea. Sure, she was aggressive, but even Lilly herself was passive-aggressive. Whatever rift between them is strong. The way Shizune acts to the other girls is classic "class rep" behavior, which I like. I'm sure she gets along fine with others when it's not festival crunch time. Though, her deafness probably creates a large rift, and Misha is probably her only true friend ;_; I love the way they interact too, betting candy and just being a mischievous pair (when it comes to hisao, at least.)

I honestly don't think we have enough info about the issue to pass judgment on the characters just yet. If I had to guess, their disabilities made them natural enemies and they both just decided to argue over something relatively unimportant in order to one-up the other.

What I liked about her was that her bad points were all out in the open, and at least her manipulations led to something constructive. Compared to the rest of the cast, Rin is never able to give a straightforward answer to anything, and Hanako, Lilly and Emi never really do anything break out of their stereotypical roles. What's with all this talk of 'main characters'? This isn't based off of an anime or something, there's no need for one character to be any more fleshed-out or significant than another. Indeed, it's undesirable if you ask me.

Granted, Shizune's route for example is much more rewarding than say Emi's, but what we've all played is a demo, and is only a small taste of what we will get to enjoy in 2010.

There's still a long way to go until completion I imagine, and any girls who seem to be getting the short end of the stick right now will be brought into balance in the script by then I'm sure.

I like Shizune, but I don't want my favorite to be any sort of 'main' anymore than I would want a girl I hate to be a 'main'.
