i was really just learning how to use cloud services and get website hosting for my domain
the current set-up should be excellent now with the site traffic costing me nothing (everything is cached by cloudflare) and me having a good idea of how all this stuff works now
next i'm going to go and learn html/css/js in depth, i have a basic understanding but i want to get proficient with it all and then i will probably use a static site generator like hugo to build my own template and create a cool site
and then fill it with content, not sure how long it will take but i think as the old site is still accessible there is no need to rush
i will probably want to write the new site after i finish my kanken deck so there is a notable addition to it besides the boring articles i will write in that actually has some value
i think the idea besides this whole endeavor in the first place is for it to mainly be a learning experience for me learning web technologies and expanding my still meager coding knowledge while ultimately also providing something useful to other people
what kind of sucks is that while hosting will probably be close to free at this rate, the domain actually costs me 30€ a year now, i'll see if i can set up a bitcoin address or something on the new site if people want to lessen than load on me a little bit but that's then, not like i'm going to go into financial ruin from 30€
