Ever17's good but also really boring.

Although I guess you could say the same about Sharin no Kuni.

Anyway, my favorite eroge is Saimin Jikken. It's got the failings of being incredibly short, but as an extra virtue of that, the handful of hours the game lasts for are some of the most powerful hours you will ever experience in eroge. Masterpiece. The voice acting is so REAL and the music is beautifully haunting.

Swan Song

The art, the music, the characters, the story. It was just so close to perfect for me, I liked nearly everything about it. I still open it up every month or so just to play through normal end or other nice scenes.


I played Carnival and liked it a lot, but it was so full of flaws it hurt, I nearly dropped it during the first chapter it was so bad at some points. The second and third chapters were great though.
I still haven't actually played KiraKira.

Carnival is awesome because it was written by Setoguchi.

That's unfortunately the only reason it is awesome. The actual story is rather mediocre; what you're seeing is something that would have been rubbish lost to history, only saved because the writer is just that good. Setoguchi's writing is the only thing good about the game.

If Setoguchi actually designed it, like he did with Swan Song, Carnival would have been much better.

I must add however that I haven't played most thought-to-be-masterpieces titles like CC, Sharin or Swan Song yet. Just began Alternative.

Mine's either Muv-Luv as whole, Sharin no Kuni, G-Senjou no Maou or Baldr Sky (depending how dive2 ends, but I'm sure it won't disapoint). Can't Realy decide between those four.

And I think it would be a great idea for CROSS+CHANNEL to be translated. Its a great story, especially if you like repeating world stories (one of the best kind). But, I don't know how to hack and all that shit, so I can't help you there.
tl;dr-cross channel IS amazing, and should be translated so people who can't read moon can read its deliciousness.

Phantom of Inferno, while awesome, suffered too much from the DVD release. The story in itself was awesome, as was the presentation at times, but overall enjoyability was brought down too much. God, I wish somebody would translate the Phantom Integration.

So, probably Clannad or Sumaga(I know the only first route is translated, but so far I love it).
