Back in my day, pooshlmer was a fun place, there were discussion threads, image dumps, draw threads, and once, I participated in poosh's comic making event. That shit was so cash. It was like /jp/ minus 80% of the trolls and/or tripfags.

I don't hate Pooshlmer, but I found myself less and less interested by it circa mid-2008. Their board culture is just too different.

I suppose the main positives are generally less trolling (but even on /jp/ you can just ignore it), threads last 'forever', and more useful information for Touhou; but the discussions there just don't interest me.

I prefer /jp/. Sure it's shit most of the time, but most people are disgusting 20+ year old virgin weeaboo NEETs (which I can relate to) and the threads are pretty entertaining. Pooshlmer seems to be full of 15 year old forum kids.

/jp/ has trolls and spam, but you can easily filter that out and read the more interesting threads. It is just quiet at the moment because there is really nothing to talk about.

Never really been to pooshlmer. After looking through a few pages it looks shitty. /jp/ already has too much Touhou and Umineko, so I don't think I could stand a board solely dedicated to those topics (I like both series but I also like variety).

I'll just use the downtime to catch up on VNs.

From the posts in this thread, it seems that there is some moderation going on. From what I've gathered from Pooshlmer posts, there are no mods, just the one admin, and he rarely does much. That's why it's being 'allowed'; it's not, it's being spammed. Some of it IS being deleted, and people in this thread are being banned for it.
