Of course they get a cut of their sponsorships. None of the money they earn goes directly to them but that's fair because mostly likely Cover negotiates and acquires every sponsorship deal for them while also of course providing all other backup resources and assets, including artists and producers. The cut isn't 40% by the way, it's closer to 30% and probably less with taxes, especially since Youtube takes a cut of supacha/ad revenue/membership profits too. Merch/event profit is often not a big portion of income either, it's usually Youtube providing a steady monthly income and then sponsorships providing the bulk of the extra profit.

I seriously doubt any individual holo is acquiring sponsorships for themselves or even has the power to; it's not like they're the ones making that decision as a business, and at best the limit of their decision-making is probably suggesting products to sponsor, and agreeing to sponsor products when asked. I also doubt they'd be bound by contract to shill for just whatever Cover asks them to shill; most likely it's an agreement between the talents and the managers making the deals.
