Think it's mostly just popularity of apex in Japan in particular for them, japs apparently dont really play pubg or CoD etc. Botan plays R6, and CS/OW is both not popular there and too hardcore for a typical vtuber. Apex is also relatively easy with moveshoot/no counterstrafing required, + not many random sniper oneshots that randomly end your game
