The organizers are kind of retarded and are focusing the event around Valentines/White day, so the teams are forced to be mixed gender, not only that, but players are required to give valentines/white day gifts to the other people in their team. It's like they're basing the entire event around trying to trigger idolfags.
I wonder if Cover management would even allow them to play it in if they wanted to.

Regardless JSL members can be an actual handicap on a squad based FPS. The rule actually says "poor/weak japanese" so maybe proficiency is taken into account.

I'm not an idolfag but I did notice a lot of you are misunderstanding why the CR Cup rules would be the way that they are.
The whole premise of a point system is to force the matches and spectator experience to be interesting. Strong players and people who you want to discourage from entering are worth more points, weak players and people you want to encourage to enter are worth less points. Because they want mixed player teams and they have an over-representative proportion of highly ranked and skilled male players who don't really need to interact with each other much, they're tweaking the rules to force people who don't talk to each other much to team up and interact. Since this is hard for people who are bad at Japanese, they get a bonus, and then since it would make this clause meaningless if all three players just spoke a different language they must speak Japanese.

If you don't like the rules, you should happy, not sad if your oshi doesn't participate, so I don't understand all of the people getting worked up in here over it.
