D-D-D-DOUBLE KO FINISH
Goddamn that's awesome, I've only had two of those since this came out.

GGs though a.a, you're style is just too defensive and I'm not patient enough to beat it out most of the time. It's like only Suika can stand up against it -- by the way, in case you didn't know, uh, Massacre on Mt. Ooe is UNBLOCKABLE. I wondered if you thought it was something else or what, but doing it when you just stood there blocking didn't feel as satisfying as it usually does.
My Cirno can hardly touch yours anymore, though, probably because I'm so impatient. If I could relax more I could probably do what you were doing, but I just can't bring myself to do anything besides ICESWORD ICESWORD ICESWORD.
Well whatever, haven't played you in a while; the games, thanks for them, etc etc etc etc etc.

I can't help it. I did try to do my best Lim "random melee and run at the opponent" impression when I played Sanae though.

>Massacre on Mt. Ooe is UNBLOCKABLE
I should have figured. Bad IaMP "block all Suika spellcards (esp. dunk)" habits and general negligence. Another shining moment I guess, kind of like when some Yukari player (not Lurker) used a random train spellcard and I stood around until it ran me over to end the game.

This happens disturbingly often, actually. People see the spellcard flash and weren't watching their opponents' cards, so they just sit there blocking, wondering what's happening. Then BAM, train, and they feel like tards.
It happened to me once.

Good games, a.a. Your Meiling improved much faster than mine ever did; it shames me to see you play so well with a character that took me this long to learn. ;_;

Anyways, I'd recommend putting the flying kick in your deck if you anticipate typhoon troubles; it's really great for that. Other than that, your Meiling plays almost infuriatingly defensively, which makes me impatient and more prone to mistakes; defense and counter Meiling can work fairly well, I guess.

Sigh...you beat me with my main. I don't care if you're Jetm, there are no words to describe the shame that makes me feel. Meiling is the only character I can even use, and yet...tch. Well done, well done. I think I hate fighting your Komachi the most, though; I never have any clue when the hell I should be jumping out, dashing out, blocking, or attacking with her. At least with your other characters I know when, I just make stupid mistakes. Against Komachi, I genuinely have no idea half the time.

If you jump and block right as I enter the air for the j.2a in the corner, you can block it in the and and fly off. Sadly, it's still risky because if you don't jump high even I can tag you with 5a or 3a for an air unblockable hit. I think that there is a gap between my second 5a and my coins that you can dash out of as well, though I'm not 100% sure.

>I can tag you with 5a or 3a for an air unblockable hit

Bait and counter works well enough against me. Firstly, I'm an impatient, aggressive player; secondly, I don't have quite as much technical skill in the game (I pretty much started playing with 12.3 came out). Your defensive Meiling seemed to do well enough against my offensive Meiling, as long as I didn't catch you with CH 214Cs or 22Cs.

>> No.3313130

>>3313111
Hah. I'm always going to get caught by those ground to air 214s and CH 22s. I'm too stupid and stubborn to change the way I play just because the opponent MIGHT do something. 90% of my play with certain characters is banking on the opponent to not be able to react perfectly. It's why I've earned the ire of several IRC folk such as Icekin. I have terrible base play but great execution, which beats out poor execution and good base play most of the time. I must be rather tired though. Looking back, I dropped far too many punishes on your whiffed 22s...

Charging Cirno also isn't really a good idea, you wake up and I can hit you with a gimped cheat ice spin like a behind the head Yuyuko.
Note all the time I casted C above your head instead of spinning. Good place marker.

Well, I guess this is what I get for not playing for two whole days. And I've played ZomB's Youmu.
Anyway, time for a break on my side before the controller takes one, literally. Also lungs.

One question though if you don't mind: I noticed you were pulling off the Reisen blockstring I spent entire matches failing to do flawlessly, so after CH 66A is it 5C or 236B? I swear from the explosions it's 236B, but every time I do it I can't HJC at the right angle and go over opponents' heads every time. Am I using the wrong bullet or just not practicing doing j.2A at the right time?

China's gay whirl is a reversal spellcard and it obviously beats other slow spellcards. I thought it's common practice to hold a reversal when you see the opponent has a strong spellcard.

You'd think by playing Guy so much I'd have figured this out by now. ;_;
Well okay, I actually had no idea it had reversal properties until now, so fair enough. I probably should've looked at your cards first so it's my fault but I still screamed like a psychopath when you pulled it off.

>Just hold 9 after doing the special and immediately go for j2A after the HJC.
Oh okay, so it is just bad timing on my part. I guess I never got the chance to experience firsthand that you can't 5C from 66A because I'd been doing 236B all this time, so I more or less had to just guess on what it was I was doing wrong. I'd seen Magister and all the other good tourneyfags pull it off before; sort of figures that it's all about practice. I'll go practice it for a while, then.

Either way you're a damn good player and I'm just a controllertosser, I'd love to play you again once I fight more tourneyfags and level up some. Having a backup controller would be nice too.

Failstops are some of the most hilarious things in this game next to fishdecks.

>I don't pull off combos or know any BnB of any characters
BnBs are overrated in this game, they're not like Meltan where they're actually GOOD. Wiki combos are shit too.
Cirno j.5A j.8A 5C default 623C? Fuck you, I'll use j.5A j.6A 6B 5/6C and ENJOY whiffing 70% of the time.
Speaking of Cirno she's probably the hardest character in the game to use properly in contrast to Yukari, so rushing in with her without knowing exactly what you're doing is PROBABLY not such a good idea. I noticed you have a bunch of skillcards in her deck that are completely useless, so I had my suspicions. If you want to play her, put 4 iceswords and 4 super iceswords in your deck, SUDDENLY WIN ALL THE TIME.
And by 'win' I mean 'look cool while losing.'

Make sure you have a static IP address set up; other than that nothing looks like it's wrong.
Having protocol set to both works, but all you really need is UDP for netplay.

sometimes internal ip lookup tools can screw up and report incorrectly
make sure you're grabbing your external ip by using something like whatismyip.com

Game froze. Well, I have to go anyway, GGs.

Suika and Yukari (of course)were hardest to fight. It would be nice if I know which moves are punishable and what to do when Suika's a giant (flying over your head and away seemed to work). I thought Yukari's traffic signs had a minimum range, but even if my sprite was in yours, I was hit anyway. Is that move punishable? A quick 66a after block didn't seem to work.

Hoho, GGs Div. Finishing off with B mash on the select screen is always the right way to do it.

A tip for your Patchy, by the way: You're a sitting duck when you use projectiles, especially just out of the blue like that. Most of the time your opponent's going to try to melee and if you don't do anything besides one 5C to cover they're not going to have any trouble getting in; I suggest covering with 421B/C and firing another 5C if they DO manage to get in close because it forces them to either block or graze, and in the latter case you can melee them before setting up your shit on oki.
She's a cool character, I'm just not patient enough to use her myself. Thanks for the games though, I'm honestly surprised anyone came at all with the thread being on autosage along with having been dead already BEFORE it hit autosage.

My thumb aches like fuck, better give it a rest again. Sigh.

Good games, Tree. I should probably change my name from Guy to George of the Jungle, though (watch out for that tree!). Anyways, it was nice playing you once again; it had been a little while. I wish I would stop running into everything your Suika does, despite knowing what you're going to do (lol loliball -> dive/fireblast thingy). It wasn't very nice of you to start baiting my 22Cs, though; that's a big source of my damage! ;_;

If you face a very aggressive player like me, though, I'd recommend doing Suwako's 22C more; it can really help you out.

Well, hurrdurr on my durrhurr. I thought it was cute that you'd acknowledge my textwalls but I didn't expect you to actually READ them. Thanks to my stupid my snakes got fooled twice. ;_;
Still, looks like the tricks I picked up from my training with the IRC tourneyfags helped out a bunch. You can bet your ass I'll be using Suwako a lot more because I can tell she annoys you to fuck; I just need to work more on, you know, not getting hit.

GGs anyway, with a few exceptions I'm the only one who still hangs around page 5+ threads on autosage for hours so if you do that again you should really expect me. While your rabbit is a MILLION YEARS TOO EARLY TO FACE ME - I have a habit of going into hardcore asskicking mode whenever someone tries to use my mains without being better than me at them, uh, sorry about that - I'm still nowhere near defensive enough to beat somebody who starts fistfights at opera houses. Hurr.
VARIOUS OTHER JOKES I THOUGHT UP WHILE FIGHTING YOU THEN FORGOT, etc etc.
You know the drill.

>It wasn't very nice of you to start baiting my 22Cs, though; that's a big source of my damage!
Durr, like there's any other way I can hit you. The only time you're not in my face kicking my ass is when you random alt 22C from the other side of the screen, which is like your ONE WEAK POINT now and I have to exploit it as much as possible.

>I'd recommend doing Suwako's 22C more

Oh Tree. You always make me lol.

Yeah, throwing out random alt 22Cs is something I'm having a hard time trying to stop. The thing is, if I land a CH alt 22C, I can chain into another one, and that's already like a free 3k damage.

>Yeah, throwing out random alt 22Cs is something I'm having a hard time trying to stop.
1. Get a replay of me using Missing Power below your random 22C, play it on constant repeat.
2. Glue your eyes open or something.
3. Sleep with your eyes open, watching the screen.
4. ???
5. SUDDENLY WIN ALL THE TIME

Then again, most of my habits are a fuckton worse. I manage to get away with blaming them on my controller.
Only about half of them actually ARE because of my controller.

>I thought you would appreciate that one. >:3
If you define "appreciate" as CONTROLLER INTO WALL, then yes.
Well, to be honest, you're just controller-into-desk. >>3327377 was actually the first person to make me literally throw my controller into the wall, and that was because of the whole "getting hit by a stray bullet when both players' lifebars are empty" thing CONSTANTLY HAPPENING; foiling Snakes was just the fuel.

Oh, and
>I wish I would stop running into everything your Suika does
I wish I would stop running into everything your Meiling does.

Alt 22C is "diagonal kick." Unless you know exactly what you're doing with it all the time, it's one of the most easily baitable moves ever. Enjoy your giant loli horns.

Also, uh, a new thread might not be such a bad idea at this point. If anyone's actually playing still, that is.

It's still worth it when you land a CH flying kick from across the screen. CH 22C -> 22C -> j.5A -> j.6A

~3.3k damage, 120% limit. Feels good, man. But yeah, don't throw it out all that often, or you'll be eating quite a bit of damage yourself.
