Roberu's fairly known in the same niche Kaoru is in but he's usually a participant and not a GM. The dude can actually write stuff and seems to excel at literature if he just takes things seriously. I was fairly surprised by how he looks at literature in-game ala DDLC.

Roberu just doesn't take himself too seriously or sort of... I don't know? I know he seems pretty confident but it feels like he's held back by something in him s'all. He's not as confident as he seems but he's got it in him.

I honestly wanna see him try to delve into something like reviews or story analysis and commentary of the sort. It seems like he could actually find success there. Of course, it's gonna be a huge EOP filter as always though... which honestly isn't an issue if you're looking for Japanese fans anyway.

- NSS, 2nd Fes and Bloom were ~3 hours long.
Let's say the Holostars get half that, one and a half hours.
- A typical 3d stream at the Cover studio is only an hour and a half so it's not too bad... that is assuming they use the Cover studio. I'll get to that.
- Let's assume the average song length is 4 minutes long.

Between a group opening, group ending and an individual song for all 9 members that takes up about 48 minutes. Add in talking and intermission segments, let's say 15 minutes. That leaves 30 minutes for unit songs... you get roughly 7 with some time left over. Whatever time left would be used to shill event merch.

The schedule would be tight but it would work pretty well without running too long and give everyone a chance to shine. The thing about studios I mentioned though, if it was hosted outside of Cover's studio like at the Balus studio for SPWN I imagine run time would be cut down some but I'm not sure how it would be done satisfactorily outside of axing a few unit songs.
If it was on SPWN, it would probably be a paid event. If it was at the Cover studio they'd have to either make it free (relying on spacha to make up for it) or beam it to NND to handle sales (but fuck NND).

Roberu is my oshi and I've been watching him very close to after he debuted but I'm definitely okay with him not really being anything like a 'leader'. I think the regulars are aware that he doesn't seem to want that responsibility. He even said that he doesn't want to be considered as something close to what we consider as a leader either.

I know he's definitely business-like when it comes to publicly seen and available things. The dude checks his videos so often for yabs, makes sure to backtrack so often, and tries really hard not to show his softer side or him faltering on screen. Heck, I think the testament to it is him even hiding his 10k celebration stream and only putting it back up when a lot of regulars brought it up.

No matter how many streams we have with him where we just chat with him, the sense of distance is always something he makes sure to establish. It's the same with his collabs, there's always some kind of boundary that keeps you from getting too close...on-screen at least. He seems close with the others and his genmates in a way no one would see and, judging from what Astel said, it'd be nice to think that his frequent streams are partly due to what they set out to do to make Holostars more known. Really makes you think about what Miyabi said about him during his one of his Mario Kart streams too.

Roberu always struck me as a guy who did a lot of stuff behind the scenes despite his frequent streaming and whatnot. The only ones who would ever know the extent would just be themselves. He really feels like that bartender you meet and talk to once in a while, there's a sense of closeness that's never too close. You tag along with him for a good time but not necessarily a heartfelt one. There's a good chance we won't reach that level of personal closeness ala Astel's talks and that's okay.

I don't really want to assume anything about him or his feelings either but I wonder how hard every graduation hit him. Especially when you consider all three of the graduated members were probably very good friends with him in his past life. Of course, they could always talk and interact off screen but there's always gonna be a pang of loneliness that hits. For all we know he's just coping right now.

Sorry this got long but tl;dr: I'm a regular but I think he's the 'big bro' figure instead of anything close to a leader.

>> No.33320949

Me too. I feel like Roberu is more in the "supporting/pushing from behind" kind of person, and big bro figure is much more fits him than being a leader (Shien and Izuru choose him as a big bro figure). Meanwhile I also think Izuru is also doing lots of favors behind the camera. Miyabi said he gained a lot of confidence in singing bcs of Izuru, and he also even said Izuru is the "mommy figure" in Holostars. Even Roberu said Izuru is "big bro" figure because he has a lot of charms and could pull people up (this is when he did zatsudan with FBK). I think there also another members that had said good things about how reliable Izuru is, but I forgot. Despite him being the youngest in Holostars, he is still a very admirable senpai for the others.

All of Holostars members have their own role, they're basically a family.

That clause has been up since HoloEN1 auditions for all foreign branches. It doesn't really mean anything. For what it is worth, they may just cover their ass in case of problematic persons applying so they could filter them more easily and complying with potential laws. Integrating males in Hololive will complicate a lot collabs opportunities with japanese holos unless you want to make HoloEN even more isolated than what they already were.

ID is more viable actually, given that the fanbase there already exist and they have a chat culture closer to the JP than the hellhole that is EN chat. Huge plus if they can speak english (which is already a must) cause they'll just wrangle both ID and EN fans that way.
Also in terms of collab mates, the boys already tested the waters with ID, turns out to be a success, fans from both sides love it. While in EN, Watson already said she doesn't want to collab with the boys, Kiara sidestepping all the time, idk about Mori and Ina, but the golden shark is being as untouchable as always, It'll be like making an entirely new group. People already asked some holos for collabs with the Stars even to this month and they don't want to. Stars don't want either because they want to grow on their own merit. Matsurikka and Foxdemon are great collabs because they have been formed naturally and not forced by outside influences.

- Despite that hololiveEN explosion in popularity, it doesnt mean holostarsEN will have the same too, afterall they have to compete with popular male streamer in the west
- It takes hololive 3 years before expanding to EN, stars is a relatively new branch so even if there will be a holostarsEN it will be in far future
- It is unlikely for you to collab with your favorite holo if you get in holostars EN except if she's on holoID
- I'd rather focused on the current boys, but if we had to add more boys, its better be gen 4.

You're probably right. Look at Ollie and Astel. All it takes a small push. I think the reality is theres no real barrier anymore. Just that a majority of people watch whats infront of them until something "new" or "big" comes along.

Pretty sure thats the nail on the head. Only on-stream time he's cried as of lately, or even remotely emotional was the ending of Xenoblade 2.

Agreed. I've seen some vtuber which their whole identity is collab, with no presence in their own content. Don't want the boys to fall on that hole.

You're most likely right. Theres also the genuine possibility (and reality) that its just what the duo in question for certain "yuribait pairings" just want that as well.

>compete with popular male streamer in the west
Not only that, you have to consider that Vtuber themselves is a niche especially in the west, given a lot of western 'Anime Girl' vtuber literally stagnates both in subs and views, if those thing happens to 'Anime Girl', what will happen to 'Anime Boys'?

StarsJP struggled for more than a year now. I would be really bummed for them if StarsEN came out of nowhere and their popularity exploded to 100k-200k from day one and having all their efforts denied just because of language.
Best way to start good relationships between branches...

They had 3 years to grow, got 3D, a HoloFES, support from their corporation. They got enough subs (many hundreds thousands) to be among the top 2 place for female talents to be unlike Holostars which some of the roommates are doing better on their own.
EN only exists because of all the efforts and resources spared by everyone. What you are suggesting is skipping all those steps for some randos without letting StarsJP the chance to fully prove their worth

>> No.33323118

>>33322444
Some have already voiced exactly what I wanted to say before replying to you, so I'll keep it simple: I don't think a StarsEN branch will help the already existing members in the same way HoloEN has helped hololive as a whole.
My biggest fear is to see them being overshadowed and their views cannibalized by a hypothetical EN branch. The majority of those who are auditioning most likely do not care about the Stars at all and just want the brand name, and the thought of another branch gaining 100k susbcribers within a month for the simple fact that they speak English hurts. I just care about the boys too much and I'm content with their current incline, I apologize for the rant.

>> No.33323174

>>33323103
Again, I said I agreed with you about that, but if you think there's going to a schism between two branches because of numbers then you have no faith in the boys.

>> No.33323215

>>33322864

I think that fear is kind of unfounded, honestly.
I mean... I'm going to take a shot at it specifically because I like the boys, and I'd like to have the opportunity to stream with them some day, y'know?

and honestly, if the language or cultural difference caused StarsEN to blow up, it's just all the reason to stream with the guys we already like more, to support their growth.

I don't think viewership is a zero-sum game. A rising tide lifts all boats.

Voice Cloning (Audio Deepfake) technology are actually pretty good right now. Wouldn't it be easy to clone any Holostar (or any chuuba) voice to make them say whatever you want since there's boatloads data to feed from their archive?
This way the boys doesn't really need to fluent to make English content. They cam easily make an audiobook from any public domain book.
