I think its safe to say he's in the same league as Astel, just not in the same skill set.
Astel seemingly has a leg up on aim than Izuru, but Izuru's decision making and survival rate seems to be better than Astel's.
Thats my observation, however, and I've never played APEX, but I'm relatively familiar with just competative FPS's in general.

I would actually argue against this point. I've noticed that Astel is actually really good at finding windows for retreats and executing them, providing he isn't in the heat of a fight when shit hits the fan. When he is though, his decision process seems to prioritize trying to fight through, which makes for flashy plays and flashy deaths if it doesn't work out.

Now lets compare this to Izuru. I agree that he has a calmer and more cautious play style compare to Astel, but you cannot deny that there are a LOT of moments where he just straight up dies, sometimes without a sound. And every time it happens it really stands out, since the usual pattern is

>Astel reloads/uses recovery items
>Astel notices the situation going south for them and promptly orders a retreat
>Moments later Izuru goes in and dies
Which leads me to conclusion that Izuru is really, really poor at disengaging. When the man goes into the tank, he tunnel visions hard, which is why Astel always, ALWAYS, tells them to give a reply when he barks out orders.

And the point of flashiness also makes sense in that context. Its hard to judge Izuru from a stream point of view, whether or not he's the PoV, since Astel's playstyle is so flashy by comparison. Plus when just straight up watching their long ass endurance streams, everything starts blending together, the legit plays and fucking around.
