Jesus fucking Christ, tell me about it. All the good Reisen-playing tourneyfags like Magister and Jetm seem to have no problem pulling it off over and over, but whenever I do it it's like it only works maybe 50% of the time.
The trick is to hit j.2A RIGHT AS you hjc from 236B or whatever - though I don't see why you'd be trying it from anything besides CH 66A 236B anyway - and that isn't very hard to figure out by itself, but it's not something you can just do by seeing other people doing it because you have to practice perfect timing and all that bullshit. And if that wasn't enough, doing that fancy j.2A-into-the-wall-followed-by-ridiculous-blockstring combo and various other cool-looking things has pretty much the exact same timing for every single hit so if you whiff one and aren't fighting a complete scrub you just fucked yourself over. On TOP of all that, ever getting a CH 66A out at all is purely situational and if your opponent's playing somebody who can stay out of 66A range for a long time (read: Suwako), entire matches can go by without you getting a chance to pull it off.
The worst part is that all that isn't even half as bad as fightan CAN get.

And this is why most of the time I just play Suika instead.

Durr, GGs. SO, turns out snakes doesn't stop trains from fullscreen. Just a reminder.
Broken, easy to use, etc etc., forgot the rest of what I was going to say but it was probably something about broken and easy to use.

>>3341909
It's on the wiki but to be honest, I totally forgot what it does. I think it decreases stats or something. The only reason I use it is because it stops most characters' projectiles and I keep forgetting that Yukari's 5C goes UNDER it so it fucks me over every time. Hurrdurr.

>I don't usually get mad over soku, but I raged at your Suwako several times
Funny story, being the controllertosser that I am I got away with only muttering "fuck" a few times and I think the controller hit my keyboard once. You'd think 66C would be more angrymaking than it is, but once you get used to it it's just sort of, you know, there.

Snake you once, shame on me. Snake you twice, shame on you.
You have to keep moving against Suwako because contrary to what certain IRC tourneyfags may try to tell you you can NOT block that thing. On the upside it looks cool.

GGs Harlaown, apparently you're fun enough to play against that I forgot what time it was. Hurr.
You should really be groundteching a lot more though, ESPECIALLY with Patchouli because she more than anyone else is the opponent's bitch in the corner. If not for that you could've got me a few times because apparently sometimes - such as today - I can run headfirst into projectiles enough to make Guy look like a monk.
And by monk I mean like a monk in a monastery, not the slang RPG term for somebody who fights with their fists. We don't even want to go any further into that one.

Anyway Tree out; you better get your ass back up there, thread.

GGs anyway, goddamn that is a bitch and a half to keep up -- especially the way I was going it, index finger on the D-pad and pinky finger hitting most of the buttons. Ouch. I'd rather play with a blister.
'Course, I couldn't consistently do it so I made sure to signal when I was switching to both hands and back with the B button x3 at the select screen, hope you caught that. My favorite part of those matches had to be when Suika decimated Tenshi then I switched my handicap back on and did it again. Hohoho, Suika is just TOO easy to play one-handed.
One could even say she's broken and easy to use.
Done with this madness for today though, thank you for not being a super IRC tourneyfag god etc though.

Whoa whoa whoa, I don't know what planet you're from, but this is Earth. It's rape or get raped here.

In all honestly though, I really wish it worked that way. Unfortunately, there's hardly anybody anywhere who can accurately "scale themselves down" like that without it turning into stupid shit like intentionally running into bullets, which is just an insult to the otherwise losing side. It's frustrating to beat the crap out of somebody and not being able to help them improve by telling them what they're doing wrong, sure, but making mistakes is the best way to learn -- I know I figure out what I'm doing wrong faster by getting punished for it than by the opponent trying to lose to make me feel better.

Good games as always, Rabbit-Box.

Why do I do so poorly against people who only jump around and throw out bullets? Seriously, I know what your Komachi's going to do, and I fall for the same shit over and over again. You're gonna flood the screen with the purple lights, hj into the corner, do a couple of scythe throws, and then j.2A whenever I come near you. Then you'll do a little bit of melee before jumping back into the air for more j.2As and scythe throws, until finally you get orbs back and throw out more purple shit.

And yet, I fall for it. All. The. Fucking. Time.

Good games Guy, you've exhausted all the Koma and Patchy strategies and techniques that I know. I really mean it when I think my own characters are stale. A lot of it is graze trapping, where you fire out some bullets and hjc out to hit an opponent that is grazing it. I fall for it a lot too since my first reaction is to graze forward through bullets, and I get nailed with the Rainbow Circle to Meiling Kick that way.

Well, I suppose there's only so much you can do, though. In all honesty, your Youmu is probably the most boring to fight, though. Against Youmu it's just block block block block "is he done yet" block block block "finally I'm out of the corner" do some damage, and then get back into a corner to repeat the whole bloody process ad nauseum. Sometimes I think I'm too impatient to be any good at this game.

Haha, actually I hear the most complaints about my Youmu more than anyone else. I pretty much practice and know only corner wakeup strategies that involve liberal use of 2C and guard crush on the third hit. The entire purpose of the stuff I do in mid screen is just to push the opponent into the corner which can be screwed up really easily if they just graze the B.

Alas, it's the only way I've known how to play her and each new patch seems to nerf it.

The hardest part was figuring out where the fuck you're at though. A bunch of times I'd use 236 just to hear if 236 or 214 came out so I'd know which side I was on. Half the time I didn't even know what character I was like the last one where the roar of 5C made me think I was Okuu only to find out at the end I was fuckin' Patchouli. HURRRRR.

Oh that's nothing, PLAYING it live is the real entertainment. It feels weird as fuck not knowing if you're even moving until you hear sounds. Tasofro needs to add walking footstep SFX or something.
It's pretty hilarious to go over the replays and see how many times we accidentally did that worked like once where I got Suwako and used 22C in the beginning before I even knew who was who, deflecting a fuckton of bullets.

>I laughed. I laughed quite hard.
You're not alone. I was cracking up the whole time, shit was awesome.

With any luck this may turn into a daily thing; the only thing that could make it better would be if we had a Vent server or something. Too bad Vent is shit.
And tying blindfolds is a pain in the ass, especially if it's a makeshift blindfold. A couple times I just gave up trying and turned around instead, but it's really not the same experience that way.

Honestly though, she IS considered shit tier but the reasons for why mostly go into the realm of hardcore tourneyfag "0.00000001 second delay on pushing a button" shit so it doesn't mean she isn't playable or anything. Her speed is pure shit though and just about all of her moves have disgustingly horrible recovery, leaving her punishable after just about anything though. She takes a pretty patient playstyle in the same vein as Yuyuko, but nobody over here is THAT patient.
I wouldn't be surprised if there were Japanese players trying to get shit done with her, but I haven't been paying enough attention to what's going on over there so far besides that one tournament.
On the bright side, she saves Cirno from tourneyfag bitching about being the worst character out of the new batch.

I'm pretty sure that honor goes to Suwako, brah. Okuu isn't that bad, it's just that she's a little slow and needs bombs/reversal cards in order to get out of good corner pressure.

These "tier lists" are bullshit because Suwako is one of those characters who takes a fucklong time to actually learn properly and apparently only very few have so far. I'd say she fits more into mid if not mid-high tier because of how slippery she is and the fact that she's FULL of gimmicks.
Besides that, I don't think I even want to start typing about how much shit is wrong with >>3344834.
Seriously:

Oh gosh, I think I'm done for now. Thanks for the games, Magister, Meiling vs Meiling was a TON of fun. I'm definitely going to mess around with your Youmu's system card idea, cause I was trying to dial-A -> Youmu -> dial-A -> Earth & Heaven Dragon's Step the entire match. You pulled it off before I did. ;_;

As for everything else, the only thing I really learned was that I graze instead of block and air tech at the dumbest times. It was fun facing your Iku, too, but I'm probably a bit biased when it comes to Meiling.

Hahahaha; it's so strange, I was almost sweating from the corner pressure, but you got the idea that I was unbreakable? It's weird seeing how despite being in the same match, two people come back with completely different perspectives: "crap, it never stops, I'm done for!" "crap, he's never going to get hit, what the hell?"

But yeah, counter-hit 22Cs are absurdly damaging, especially if you link two of them, and then finish with j.5A -> j.6A -> j.5C/j.5B. It's starting to become a crutch for me, though. ;_;

You should probably do both. If you already have a port open for another program, though, you can just use that port instead of opening a new one (for example use 7500 if you used to host any Meltan games).
