Jesus fucking Christ, tell me about it. All the good Reisen-playing tourneyfags like Magister and Jetm seem to have no problem pulling it off over and over, but whenever I do it it's like it only works maybe 50% of the time.
The trick is to hit j.2A RIGHT AS you hjc from 236B or whatever - though I don't see why you'd be trying it from anything besides CH 66A 236B anyway - and that isn't very hard to figure out by itself, but it's not something you can just do by seeing other people doing it because you have to practice perfect timing and all that bullshit. And if that wasn't enough, doing that fancy j.2A-into-the-wall-followed-by-ridiculous-blockstring combo and various other cool-looking things has pretty much the exact same timing for every single hit so if you whiff one and aren't fighting a complete scrub you just fucked yourself over. On TOP of all that, ever getting a CH 66A out at all is purely situational and if your opponent's playing somebody who can stay out of 66A range for a long time (read: Suwako), entire matches can go by without you getting a chance to pull it off.
The worst part is that all that isn't even half as bad as fightan CAN get.

And this is why most of the time I just play Suika instead.

GGs anyway, goddamn that is a bitch and a half to keep up -- especially the way I was going it, index finger on the D-pad and pinky finger hitting most of the buttons. Ouch. I'd rather play with a blister.
'Course, I couldn't consistently do it so I made sure to signal when I was switching to both hands and back with the B button x3 at the select screen, hope you caught that. My favorite part of those matches had to be when Suika decimated Tenshi then I switched my handicap back on and did it again. Hohoho, Suika is just TOO easy to play one-handed.
One could even say she's broken and easy to use.

Refer to directions. Imagine it's a joystick labeled like above with 5 being neutral. 6 would be forward, 4 would be backwards, 2 would be down, etc., etc.

It takes a little getting used to, but once you learn it it's a clear, concise way of recording combos without the need for arrow images.

In all honestly though, I really wish it worked that way. Unfortunately, there's hardly anybody anywhere who can accurately "scale themselves down" like that without it turning into stupid shit like intentionally running into bullets, which is just an insult to the otherwise losing side. It's frustrating to beat the crap out of somebody and not being able to help them improve by telling them what they're doing wrong, sure, but making mistakes is the best way to learn -- I know I figure out what I'm doing wrong faster by getting punished for it than by the opponent trying to lose to make me feel better.

Why do I do so poorly against people who only jump around and throw out bullets? Seriously, I know what your Komachi's going to do, and I fall for the same shit over and over again. You're gonna flood the screen with the purple lights, hj into the corner, do a couple of scythe throws, and then j.2A whenever I come near you. Then you'll do a little bit of melee before jumping back into the air for more j.2As and scythe throws, until finally you get orbs back and throw out more purple shit.

Good games Guy, you've exhausted all the Koma and Patchy strategies and techniques that I know. I really mean it when I think my own characters are stale. A lot of it is graze trapping, where you fire out some bullets and hjc out to hit an opponent that is grazing it. I fall for it a lot too since my first reaction is to graze forward through bullets, and I get nailed with the Rainbow Circle to Meiling Kick that way.

I actually find Youmu dragon punch to be a bad move in most situations. If it misses or if its blocked, it's a free combo for the opponent as opposed to the rekkan. I'll start to use dragonpunch if I guess the opponent will make an attack or graze after a specific situation (which in the long run means I'll lose).

Well, it's not like we're blindfolded AND earplugged. Most of my mains are pretty obvious to tell who they are by sound alone - ie. Suwako - so pulling off a few basic BnBs isn't too much of a surprise.
The hardest part was figuring out where the fuck you're at though. A bunch of times I'd use 236 just to hear if 236 or 214 came out so I'd know which side I was on. Half the time I didn't even know what character I was like the last one where the roar of 5C made me think I was Okuu only to find out at the end I was fuckin' Patchouli. HURRRRR.

It's pretty hilarious to go over the replays and see how many times we accidentally did that worked like once where I got Suwako and used 22C in the beginning before I even knew who was who, deflecting a fuckton of bullets.

Honestly though, she IS considered shit tier but the reasons for why mostly go into the realm of hardcore tourneyfag "0.00000001 second delay on pushing a button" shit so it doesn't mean she isn't playable or anything. Her speed is pure shit though and just about all of her moves have disgustingly horrible recovery, leaving her punishable after just about anything though. She takes a pretty patient playstyle in the same vein as Yuyuko, but nobody over here is THAT patient.
I wouldn't be surprised if there were Japanese players trying to get shit done with her, but I haven't been paying enough attention to what's going on over there so far besides that one tournament.
On the bright side, she saves Cirno from tourneyfag bitching about being the worst character out of the new batch.

You should probably do both. If you already have a port open for another program, though, you can just use that port instead of opening a new one (for example use 7500 if you used to host any Meltan games).
