I just checked sadpanda and from a quick glance it seems that the earliest they've got are 3 non-H Touhou doujinshi released during Comiket 64 (August 2003) which is also when IN was released.
One is a mostly SDM doujin centered around Meiling, another is an EoSD general doujin, and the final one is mostly focused on the IN trial as well as some PCB content. Now here are some random autistic observations.
Every character present in EoSD appear in all 3 doujins, save for Rumia and Meiling who appear in 2, and the midbosses.
While every non-midboss from EoSD and the IN trial make at least one appearance, the only characters who originated from PCB that are featured are Letty, Youmu, Yuyuko, and Chen. On top of that, Letty appears in 2 while the rest only appear in 1, and Chen's appearance is limited to an end book illustration.
None of the midboss only characters make any appearance, with a possible off model exception for Koakuma in pic related.
At least 2 of the doujin artists are active online and continue to draw, albeit not for doujins as far as I can tell, and on occasion draw Touhou. One of those 2 mainly draws vtubers now.

Actually they only drew a handful of Kancolle pics and no Fate images that I can find. Honestly, I originally thought it was just a Rozen Maiden board, since that was how I discovered it through a google search and had no idea nor cared for whatever the hell a "Touhou Project" was.
But due to some obscure crossover fangame, Pooshlmer became a shared board for both fandoms, along with the additions of Umineko with Higurashi, included later on. Pic related was actually the very first image I saw on the site.
Of the entire site, I really miss the doujin translation threads, (which were all split off to the Magic Archive Voile site, later on) where from reading FLIPFLOPS and Ishikiriba, that's where I totally fell in love with Sakuya Izayoi's character and appearance for the first time.
Also discovering some of the earliest works from Hole of Yago, Ennui Akatako, Wi-Z GARAGE, Felis Ovum, Sougetsu-tei and even Chado there, was what really shaped my overall feel for Touhou at the time, still too naive to discern what was canon or not.
The fan game translation threads were comfy as well, had some real dedicated 'nameless fairies' where projects didn't take like 5 years to translate. From those were where I first found out about Sengoku Gensokyo, Touhou Pocket Wars, Touhou Labyrinth and Genius of Sappheiros
and Rosenkreuzstilette, due to making this really obscure Touhou reference in Luste's gameover screen.. The only namefag I actually liked there was an this autist Pilpsie, who'd make these massive character dump thread ever so often.
But the site really went to shit quality-wise after the constant slap fests that started when nameless fairies started clashing with the Maidens of Kaleidoscope admins, flooding the site with all their in-board drama and revenge spam. Even the brony shit was less cancerous.
Then following not too long after, would be all these super quality yukuri threads, literally vomit inducing Jissouseki2.0 tier shit, that really made the final nail in the coffin for the site.

But even with the namefags and early /jp/ crossies that that would spam endless Kinzo memes, whenever niggertits was on downtime, the site always had this rather languid pace about that made it super comfy. Along with the OS-tan board, probably hung out
there the longest than pretty much any other place I'd usually frequent on the net. Just doesn't feel the same turning on the PC first thing in the morning, without stopping there anymore.

I think most anons here may have forgotten all about Chugoku, Cho-Marisa, Princess Tenko Ran, big fat Letty, Ex Rumia, KFC, ξ・∀・）, wild Merupo, CAVED, Manosuke, but thank god "onee-sama~" Youmu died out right when it did.
Can also recall a few forced memes like "does Alice leak poop?", the Walfas and Iori E stuff and zombie Reimu, due to her greenish skin tone in MoF. A lot of the 2005-2007 doujin artists, right before the pool became so over crowded, had more of tenancy to focus more on their own shtick
or brand of humor rather than just copy-pasting whatever was popular at the time and jumping on bandwagons like meme whores. Like comparing Hole of Yago's old stuff to "life of a maid" is like night and day despite having similar cartoony styles.
He had like this sorta 2×2 = Shinobuden wacky humor, where even one of his own original character was literally this two-headed, Onsokumaru looking, UMA camel, that borrowed the appearances of both Kamachi and Marisa for some reason.
Speaking of colonel_aki, Isikiriba pretty much fathered the whole "wholesome SDM family" before it was ran into the ground and did it right without so many tired gimmicks, with a much cooler Sakuya. But his crack pairing with Sakuya and an obsessed stalker Alice really came out of left field.
Red Tako also had an interesting take on things with the way she portrayed Reimu without being such and overpowered asshole, just a slightly more likable one and more feminine. Also liked the way she'd combine both slapstick with more dark/brutal humor (Remi using pliers to make her fingers more jointed so her hand posing was more "unique").
All and all, you had your share of annoying secondaries (me being among them) back then but at least memes were actually allowed to just die out gracefully before they'd enviably turn out becoming painfully malignant.

This is a good point that I avoid thinking about, since I connect this place so much with Touhou. We just regurgitate memes, post about fetishes, and dump fanart from places that actually make them. Nothing to brag about.

What weirds me out is that Byakuren getting freaked out by her own body is a major part of her character (and it's presented sympathetically) but Miko mocks her for it, which results in trans people saying Byakuren should kill herself.

Miko's criticism of Buddhism in SoPM is stuff like "You can't just destroy the parts of yourself you don't like; they'll always be there, and if you deny it they'll feed on your sense of moral superiority to become even worse.". The only rainbow interpretation of Miko that remotely makes sense is non-binary.

Well, Tojiko being around means Miko could also be gay/bisexual, but she barely acknowledges Tojiko's existence. Not reading monthly manga chapters every damn month. Seems kind of silly to read one chapter every month unless it's something with high suspense like a nearing conclusion. I let several chapters build up before reading them. I've only read about 8 or so Suichoka chapters, for instance. I'm caught up on Satori though, yes.
