I'm so glad I visited the site in times when it was on /a/ and when itazuraneko was recommended. Poor anons who want to try to learn Japanese and are only seeing this mess.

But I can totally understand why this thread is now trash. I also quit because I'm now fluent in Japanese and guess most other anons who are gone are now fluent themselves. I realized that Japanese learning is just a time management thing and if you realize that the whole language is just about pushing forward 心臓を捧げよ you are already at a point where you are near fluency.

In fact Japanese is so easy to learn because you can go full isolated autism and master the language. It's not like Chinese or English where isolation makes them very hard to learn. Japanese is a very logical language which just requires a lot of time to grind the Kanji, Anki, and grammar. It feels like the language was created by Japanese people who were as autistic as we are because I have never seen a language which is such an autistic circle jerk about not needing other people to use it. Especially after you learnt the honorifics you will realize that the people who invented the language were never outside and created the whole honorific system because they didn't know how to interact with other people without going full autism.

Love the Japanese language and it was an amazing time to learn it. Especially after you start getting good at the language and understand anime and visual novels this language becomes a hobby that keeps on giving.
