I wanted to let everyone know that one of my favorite YouTube channels for learning Japanese is in some danger of disappearing (as far as the learning Japanese content goes).

It seems like she’s not getting enough ad revenue, and it’s becoming too difficult.

I truly think her channel is really great for new speakers and learners, and I urge everyone to subscribe and check out her videos!

I would really hate to see it disappear, and I think if more people knew, she would have a bigger fan-base.

is it possible that the best use of anki past beginner level is just for memorizing word readings? i’ve found that reading books it’s easy for me to guess the meaning from the kanji or the context most of the time, but some readings especially 訓 are just unknown. for a while i’ve been skipping them but i wonder if it’s worth going back to anki just to memorize those word readings, and let the meanings come from context.

You need to stare at any source of Japanese text with no intent to actually read it (just the letters), and test yourself until you can't NOT get it right anymore.
