My phone is really old and I hate studying on it, this thing seems a lot quicker for me especially looking up kanji. It recognizes my sloppy writing pretty well and it doesn't seem to care about stroke order/amount which is nice.

like, people dont speak kanji and hiragana.
someone sat down and designed them to come up with a way to write down the things that people say out loud.
romaji is just like that. its the latin-alphabet equivalent of hiragana and kanji.
the latin alphabet is not exclusively used for english. a ton of languages use it. even indonesian uses it, although they traditionally used a different writing system (i think the arabic one)
