To the person currently downloading Zansho Omimai Moushiagemasu: Sorry, but you're downloading a mostly empty file. The folder is hidden and Anonymous is not set to have 'Display Hidden' permissions, so I'm not sure why it lists that folder, but the torrent for that game is still at 0.9%.

If a game is not listed in the OP post, you might want to check through your browser whether the folder is actually listed; if it isn't, that means it isn't ready for sharing yet.

a) This FTP started out with the idea of sharing the leftover temporary data from the VNDDL list (various VNs split into RARs)
b) This way, for the split archives, you can continue downloading without completely having to restart even if you don't have a client with resume, and you can also choose to continue downloading from the VNDDL list instead of the FTP (the split archives are identical to the ones on the VNDDL list).

Probably not. For VNs, I can download games I'm not even interested in, as it's pretty much the primary function of this FTP and VNs are always /jp/-related. All anime, on the other hand, was just stuff I had lying around anyways. It's only a little extra.

If anybody was downloading Remember11 or Yosuga no Sora, your download has probably failed. My apologies for this. I didn't put them in the right folder, and moved them around before starting the server, which might cause downloads to fail.

Most people who download VNs are people who wouldn't buy the game anyways, or would only buy it after playing it; most of those who are willing to pay for it buy it regardless of the option to download it illegally. However, there are also bastards who do have plenty of money to spend on VNs, but simply won't buy them because they're cheapskates and they can just as easily download it.
For Japanese VNs, which are hard to get and extremely expensive, they have an excuse. However, for officially localized games that are relatively cheap and easy to buy, they don't.
By making it more difficult for lazy rich bastards to download such games, they might just buy the game since it's less of a hassle.
Non-lazy people will be able to find the games anyways, but if you're too lazy to find a good way to download a game, you might as well buy it.

And the funny thing is; some people actually buy stuff legally just because it's less of a hassle.

You need a composer program such as FL Studio. In such a program, you can designate a folder as a VST folder, and from there you can load various digital 'instruments', generally DLL files, sometimes with extra data (size can range from a couple of kilobytes to multiple gigabytes).
