I think that kind of stuff is an anathema though. Years ago, when Discord had just started it and nobody really used it/it didn't have a bad reputation one of the groups I was in decided to do a complete jump to it. I hated it, it's like the worst part of forums rolled into one. All it was was a handful of big egos talking to themselves and everybody else "reacting" to them. And you can see what everybody's doing, all the time. It's not like the sanctity MMOs had where if somebody just stopped logging in one day that was it, it lended the relationships a bit of a unique feeling I think, because if you actually managed to get to know somebody outside the game then usually that'd mean you made a good friend. I think in-game discussion gave way to more creative conversations as well.

When I studied in Japan, the Government gave alot of us stipends that would get paid out monthly. I do it first thing in the morning and don't allow myself to use electronics until I'm finished (unless it's for music.) otherwise I'll lazily put it off until just before bed and have to zombie my way through it. From experience: Ask her if she can set you up with a night shift. Those generally have minimal interaction with people, and you are given light/little supervision and a lot of time the complete tasks at your pace.
I've known several NEETs that have had to take up a job, and specifically night-shift security guard is one of the most bearable.

Assuming you enjoy drawing in your free time, my advice would be to try the security guard position first to have a certain income to work with, and then experiment with comissions/patronage/etc. at a steady pace.
It's not a huge chore to set up unless you are locked out of the convenient routes of transaction for comissions, Paypal/Venmo being the most common for USD. The bigger chores are:

I think the truth of the matter is that most single adults are going to run into a more uncomfortable life being NEET than getting a job with the minimal effort required to pay for some hole in the wall, even if it's just to have a place to be to yourself.

Being a neet kind of sucks after a decade. My advice to all of you is get into stocks, if not for your future then as a hobby.
It passes time. Half a year of self study and I can make about 150 during a good week.
You can't go over 2k in assets if you're on the bux though so you have to pull it and cross your fingers.

It's still "school" and something offical so it fucks with my head. There are times when I'm too scared to even go on their website. I think it's now more a fear of failure too.

If you're looking for a good reason, there probably isn't any.
Probably someone who can't accept that on 4chan there really isn't anything to guarantee that the topics you frequent, the posters who contribute to them, and the standards they follow will remain a majority on the board, or even be around indefinitely. So instead they're trying to make sure that anons who don't appear to care about the former precedence of the board are called out as such.
Which doesn't actually do much beyond provoking meta discussion that takes away from whatever that person apparently valued so much. They could have said nothing and we would just be talking about NEETdom.

If you work as a back end developer, you are literally a maintenance guy, so don’t worry, you only need to work when something breaks
Be on your computer, pay attention if something come up
But in order to not burn out, try to have your own projects
Read, draw, shitpost, but whatever you do, don’t leave your “work” station
Also, be sure to learn more coding on your own, because you probably going to need them.
