Just to confirm, does having your friends MLB mean they bring back more/better resources from errands? I notice my MLB Youmu/Ran always bring back a Seal Crystal or too, while the rest of my non-MLB team will bring back lesser resources.

I am having trouble getting the jap version to run on my phone. I can download it through Qooapp just fine and install the first 997 MB patch. Afterwards the game just endlessly downloads a 98.5 MB patch. Every time it finishes, the game restarts and trying to log in causes the game to download the patch again.

Did you clear the game's cache data? It's currently bugged atm if you clear it through the game or through app configurations, you will get locked out of your game. If you have your Player ID/Password or your account linked to Twitter/Facebook you can try the following:

-Reinstall the game
-Start with a fresh account, get through the tutorial
-Go to the main title screen and transfer back your og account
-Download any remaining data

And voila, you can play again. If you transfer your og account right away after reinstalling it won't work. The bug is on both Global and JP version, so please back up your accounts anons.

The Tower enemies look insanely strong, how the fuck am I supposed to beat them without spamming Last Words? I can grind events just fine since you have infinite resources, but I have no idea how to play the tower.

I've been manually playing them and didn't use a signle spell card until Cirno. But I may be retarded.
I'm not sure if full auto can do it, especially when there is a boss since full auto just loves to spend all your barriers when there is virtually no danger and then take full damage on ennemy spell cards.

On a side note they added so much with this update! I've seen Aya, , Suwako, Kosuzu and the new tengu ennemies (they look so goofy).

When I stall, I typically won't use spell cards. I save them for breaking when I truly need it. I rarely full-auto, I just manual and slowly grind them down with burn/poison. I don't recall much about early floors but some you can probably full auto it depending on your tank.

I'll just use a LW or two every floor every day.

Sanae and Yukari at rank 5 and 10/10/10 skills form an extremely strong core that can stall a lot of things in the Tower. You can also be flexible with the third 2hu in the team to fit the floor you are clearing. I make it to floor 18 today largely thanks to the two of them.

I definitely wasn't ready for Tower. I invested heavily into the nukers like Yuyuko and Youmu to grind events, and Medicine for Red Marisa, so my Reimu, Mokou, and Sanae aren't nearly strong enough. I don't really have skills for most characters yet since I grinded the HGK girls and the doll to 10 first.

You know, I kind of like the EX thing. It gives cubes, you do three new fights a day and that's it. Sure all you do is use three different LWs in a row and move on with your life, but it's a nice box to check once a day.

You don't even need a stall team if you have enough characters. You can just spam LW until you reach a boss level and then use your your heavy hitters to clear it. If you do five levels a day you should have no problem clearing the tower without paying to full heal.

Kasen is really good for floors 6-10 of the tower.

Selfish attackers with low utility that need time to charge up aren't necessarily a bad thing in the tower, and with her coverage of three elements she provides a great option for nuking specific defenders. Her ability to self buff and buff her own spirit power makes her perfect for targeting enemies on 6 and 9, carrying over her LW to floor 10, usually with 5.00 Spirit Power.

It seems I left out a specific point of why Kasen is so good on 6-10. One of the strats I have found most effective is to use vanguard characters of the power link typing to precharge nukers. As Kasen is a power type she has frequently been in the vanguard during levels that I practice battled and found to be capable of nuking with the rearguard. By placing Kasen in the Vanguard 3 slot she was able to fill her Spirit Power without the use of her Ibaraki Box. Here is your explicit guide. Disclaimer,I am another global player, but this method allowed me to clear a few floors with my units going out of the fight fresh as they entered.
You need a tank, a healer and another unit. If you have that luxury, you can pick the most appropriate unit for each role for each floor.
My tank is Reimu, I'm training Yukari so she can act as a replacement in floors with elements Reimu is weak to.
My Healer is Sanae, not much other decent healers to choose.
For the last unit, there are different strategies. Mokou is really good because she has decent damage+sustainability+fire on her P0 shot+breaking burnt barriers with her spread shot. Medicine or Cirno maybe but they have to use their LW to break status barriers so they will only help you with one floor. If you have a large roster of lvl100, you can pick someone with elemental access on her P0 focus/spread shot that will barrier break a foe.
Get in the fight, choose your first target (foe with elemental advantage over your units), get to 3+ power, break them using elements/status and then use 3 Power Focus shot boosted with whatever offensive skills you have to try to take them out. Choose a new target, rinse and repeat.
In the meantime, survive using your defensive skills, don't go overboard using barriers especially if an ennemy has elemental advantage over you (remember you have a healer).You may use spell cards in emergencies/when an ennemy is barrier broken, but it's rarely necessary (also depends how many floors you want to do today).
It's also good to have a LW nuke team to wipe floors that are unfriendly to your stall team (floor 7 had Moon and Metal, basically a nightmare for my team for example).

My Sanae and Yukari are only at lvl 70. They are useful but I only have a very strong Reimu as proper tank. Stalling isn't that good an option like this so I am using the units that give P upon switch, exchanging all the top cards with YIN and YANG passives every battle for the ones I'm going to use, exploiting barrier weaknesses and using a ton of SP. Already beat floor 10 with only the first day heal and no LW used today. Hope they don't add more levels until next time because this eats a lot of my day, though.

You can survive a few attack if you have full shields, just don't bring anyone with a Fire or water weakness unless you absolutely need them. Reisen (Water weakness) Mokou (Water weakness, and Tei(Water weakness) you can run a status break team. Well, I should have fucking rolled for Yukari. I have no easy way to break Earth other than burning Ran's LW and apparently she has is on a 0 power shot. Plus all her tank utility would really help out.

This was a trial by fire but I do think its helped me understand how to actually play the game now, because grinding events will be easy but Tower won't. I had no idea what the point of tanks/healers/debuffers was and the only mechanic I really understood was "Medicine LW breaks people". I basically was grinding levels but ignoring skills other than forcing Yuyuko/Youmu's attack buffs to level 10. Practicing on the enemies helps a lot.

So I think I've finally got the hang of this.
Run into practice, check the weaknesses and resistances. Set up the appropriate team to run practice again.
Sanae, Yukari and Mokou are the main stall team and can drag your battles out when you're done with exploiting weaknesses and last words.
At this point in time I'm considering using the small 5 cube fee each day for a 2nd heal. If you think about it 5 cubes to get through a few more floors each day is worth it.

No, the battle ends with the enemies at the same level of damage and shields they had when you died. All it means is those character who died are unusable until you use a full heal on them.

The only time an enemy will refresh is when you break their shield and then leave that turn. Their health will remain the same but, like anytime you break shield and than wait a turn, they will have full shields once again.

Boss floors in the tower always have what the game calls Extra Attacks which seal up certain things for your initial front row characters. Can be everything from not allowing you to use spread shots, blocking shields/spellcards or not allowing switching out. They only last 5 turns or until the character leaves the field.
A more recent thing the jap version did is allowing enemies to have multiple health bars. Pretty much made to counter people just bringing LW AoE nukes because the extra health bars only become active at the end of the turn if the character is at 0 health. Characters will spam their last words at a 0 HP enemey only for all the health to come back in the extra health bar. That's why the Doremy in that image still has seemingly full health even though she got hit by 3 of the best characters at once.

I finished Floor 9 today but needed to wait for the Heal because my team is in no shape for the Meiling and Sakuya fight.

I've been running my own stall core with Yukari/Sanae as I find it more stable than Reimu/Sanae thanks to Yukari's self-heal and teamwide barrier restoration. Pic related is my own stall team taking on Floor 27. I have a few tips below that may help you out.
- Skill levels on Sanae are absolutely a life-or-death matter, especially if you are running Reimu. One late heal and Reimu may have already died from chain crits. Skill levels on Reimu can be neglected a bit but still very important as they greatly improves her survivability. You want them both to reach 10/10/10 ASAP
- HP story cards are essential as well since heal amount scales with Sanae's HP. Pack as many as you can on Reimu and Sanae.
- If you are running Mokou, try to put some HP cards on her so she won't die from a random fairy breathing on her too hard. And with your main source of damage coming from burn barriers, Yin and Yang Up cards are not important.
- And last but not least, make sure your hus are max leveled and enhanced. Maybe awaken them too if you can afford to do so.
Once you get some sense of how to pilot a stall team, you probably will fare better in the tower.

Likely the unleveled skills. Reimu's defensive buffs make your team very bulky for one~two turns and Sanae heals scale well with training.
Since the team can stall (on shitty floors at least, curious to see how it will got today with floor 10) you are not in a hurry to break all barriers in one hit. Mokou has 2 mono-target burn on a skill and can sometimes apply one more with her Focus shot. I break the ennemy 2-3 barriers at a time then build up to 3P again.

Not that anon, but after my Yukari died to an unfortunate crit in like floor 8, I was still able to truck along f9-11 with Reimu in her stead.
The skill levels matter a lot.

After trudging through the riff-raff infested LV8 and LV9 without a way to break the no-element unit's barriers, Sakuya and Meiling were a fun little breeze. Blasting them into oblivion was a fun change of pace, even if I ran out of LWs for today. Still, I'm impressed with how well the stalling strat works. Thanks for explaining it, anons.

Yeah, I'm enjoying the puzzle of juggling my units around since I don't have many fully LB/enhanced/upgraded/awakened units. Fun to see how I can keep characters like Sunny and Star alive for barrier breaking to get to the Last Words, and working out how many chapters I can get done in a daily heal.

I'm fucking hugely lacking in Earth coverage though, I wish I had at least one of the hag sages.
