This tiny VN could probably be translated in 2 months but these fuckers are dragging the translation out forever and discouraging everyone else from translating it ahead.

Idea for getting Muv Luv translated. There seem to be some anons wanting to actually (gasp) pay money for it: commision some fan translator(s) to do it, but only pay him(them) per chapter or amount of text translated, and have him(them) work in a transparent manner (published scripts, TLWiki or something else), and have them build partial patches. That way, people can just pay as they go, and there's always the possibility of switching translator in case he's no longer available: large text, life issues, whatever. I do think it would probably cost too much to not make it very likely, but if you keep the immediate amount feasible, and keep the translator(s) well-fed, there is a chance that some day it would be finished.
