Set the max daily reviews to 0. Even though you aren't doing the spaced repetition meme you'll still remember a lot more much more efficiently than you otherwise would - and even with the Kanji that you can't yet seem to remember just yet, nailing them down is just a matter of running into them a couple times and reconstructing what the story was.
Basically, instead of trying to mindlessly drill knowledge into your head, focus on making the stories for the radicals vivid in your mind, be creative when a mnemonic isn't working for you and come up with an alternative (I had to replace all the salad radicals, no idea what the fuck Heisig was thinking when he came up with those.
