Not true, a lot of people like winning more than they like having fun matches. Of course, they're gigantic faggots, but nonetheless they exist.
That also means advertising yourself as "shit tier" is more likely to get you some asshole tourneyfag who will double perfect all your mains and then post about how bad you are than it is to get you anybody around your level, though.

>>3617315
Ketone... where have I seen that name before?
Oh well, GGs. Being able to last through those 5-minute loading screens like you did; you, sir, have endurance. I was planning to just go three or so but by some miracle they cleared up so I went on.

Your Patchy, though, I swear I giggled like a schoolgirl when I noticed your playstyle was pretty much exactly like a mini-Dimglow, crossup 421s and all. Good job pulling that off, it takes a lot of coordination to do shit like that.
Even Dimglunk couldn't do it. But saying that sounds like it's implying lunker has any coordination at all, DOHOHOHOHO

Also, congrats on being able to pull off snakes, even if it WAS against the most snakeable character in the cast. Back in the first couple weeks or so of this snaking was something that happened all the time because nobody knew how to deal with it but now it's entirely reliant either on OKI SKILLZ or luck, the former only applying to Magister because there's nobody else in the west who can actually do oki. srsly

Oh, and one tip: When using Suwako, try to shove in some 66 and 44 as opposed to flying all the time because all flight does is slow her down.
Unless, of course, you're one of those people like me who just plays to look at the HNNNNNGGGG sprites in this game, in which case carry on.
All things considered you're pretty damn fun for somebody I've never played before, thanks for the games brah.

Oh well that 'splains it. I thought it was my Firefox, closed that, whined a lot about how disappointed I am in my connection for making somebody lag, etc etc.
You have really low latency for EU though, there are only a few Eurobros I can play that well. But yeah, I do plan to run my attempting-to-be-a-patientblocker Cirno more often, I just don't like picking the same character more than once due to habits. Hit me up again sometime if you want, I'll remember to ⑨ you then.

When someone replies to my two lines of random ranting with an essay I'm always feeling a little embarrassed due to it, oh god.

I only joined because I noticed that you were hosting for 10 minutes already without anyone joining, so I decided to give it a try. There are people that are a little picky about latency issues and partially because of this I'm usually not trying the NA hosts... well maybe EC is an exception sometimes

The name, ketone pops up sometimes but I doubt I have any INTERNET FRAAAAME. Seriously, I was playing around here for 2 or 3 months when SWR came out but I just recently started playing again

My to-do list now is pretty much about learning the terms about the moves, skills and looking for a way to write more than 3 lines after a match. I mean

Weird, I could've sworn I was well known for "treeagraphs," or giant paragraphs after every match no matter who it's with, on here by now. Guess I still need to grab some more of that popularity.

>I was playing around here for 2 or 3 months when SWR came out
Ohhh, that's why. I played then too, not sure if I ever got a chance for my lolis to beat up your lolis then or not though. I don't think I did, I probably just saw other people saying "GGs ketone" and such enough for it to subconsciously register.

>WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?!
Crossup is when you move past someone while they're blocking and suddenly they have to block the other way but they don't in time, resulting in them getting hit. Crossup is my greatest weakest and a tiny hint of it fucks me over ALL THE TIME.
Oki refers to when the opponent is knocked down and just means whatever you set up during that period, like if you try to mash A while they're getting up then you're mashing A on oki, meaning you suck at oki and should probably just spam bullets from the other side of the screen instead, you scrub.

But yeah, to you and any other Eurobros/friends from other countries who're reading this, I'm lenient as fuck when it comes to lag and most of the time I'm one of those people who'll just get up and go grab a coffee during loading screens instead of sitting around complaining about how bad the lag is. Lag during matches is fine too, I played Guy the other day with his 50-frat-kids-torrenting-porn-simultaneously University connection and didn't mind when the first match took like 20 minutes and eventually desync'd to hell so chances are I won't mind playing somebody from the moon or somesuch; the problem is in the fact that I don't want to cause THEM grief so I usually disconnect during hardcore lag to be polite.

Anyway, looking forward to ⑨ing you too bro.

God, I love Patchi. Slowest 5A in the game, yet hits like it has zero-frames after EVERYTHING! Won't complain too much about the wakeup 5As, I just mistimed my own 5As, but the 5A right after Gears or landing from air... Don't get me wrong, not trying to knock your game, you run a pretty top-notch Patchi. The thing is she ain't Komachi, so I'm baffled how you were stuffing me with 5A alone the entire time. And there was no lag on my end, even though it's a EU/US game, so the successfully punching Bookslut play baffles me ever further. Also, 66A FUCKIN' WHERE? LOL

I don't get it, E-MAN. You clearly know the ways of icekick. Teach me how to icekick. So far I don't see how it can be good, but I've seen it be good. I want to run it and have it be good, as opposed to having it be bad. But right now I have it and it's bad. Why isn't it good?

Anyway GGs, I normally don't wish such horrors upon most but I really wish you could've been in IRC to see my typed screams of "THIS FUCKING GAME" and similar profanities. In fact, I wish you could've been next to me to hear my actual screams of "bullshit" and how I called you a scrub when I landed that tornado against your smug nukeshielding 'kuu. Fun shit.

Once I started running Aya in our crow vs raven switchoff ZomB was talking about her and posted this nice 3.4k combo; turns out it's really hard to read while playing. I, uh, learned that the hard way. Real bullshit matchup though, I was wondering what the problem was when I was the Okuu but then eventually I saw that ravens are VASTLY superior to crows, my god. Can't wait to see how it'll go once we get sparrows.

But yeah, <500-HP-rounds-every-match-every-game Cirno mirrors always seem to end up in your favor, I'm keeping track of the score and right now it's 2-6, a whopping 75% against poor Treerno. I don't know what you were trying to do but I'm not taking her back until I get 4 more, but gradually over time that'll happen. Patientblocking is something I'm still easing into and honestly I don't know if I'll ever totally get it, but she's fun to play so what the fuck ever.
I do admit that on that last match there I threw my controller which, like some sort of weirdass PS2 boomerang, bounced off the wall and knocked my coffee mug over, pouring it all over me. Fortunately I drink it often so it wasn't full, but I just thought you'd like to know the monster you've created.

Even though there was no noticeable lag I felt like I was playing in lag, if you know what I mean, probably not, so I had to revert to characters that required less special commands.

Anyways, good games E-MAN. You've improved a ton since last we played.

GGs raymoo but whoa, every single 623 being replaced with 236 and vice versa is a sign it's time to stop. Your Patchy is either good or my resistance to 5C is abysmal, the former being less likely because a good Patchouli who doesn't play exactly like Dimglow is unthnkable. It'll never happen.

Personally, I find green swords useful in some specific situations. They will guard crush a low blocking player (although it's easy to reaction save for this) and almost 3 orbs of damage, so you can overwhelm a blocker very quickly by 6B 6C 214C Greensword. As for midscreen, I think the most practical use for it is to cancel 623C into greensword after the first hit, but since it's slow and grazable you don't want to try and catch someone by suprise with it.

Good games Johan, you're still really difficult to catch especially when your HP gets low. Were you taking it easy in the last few matches? My Yuyuko is nowhere near my Youmu and I didn't expect to win against someone as counterpunchy as Yukari combined with your defense.

>> No.3634644

Good games I guess.
It's hard to play when it's that slow.

Fun matches, but some pretty rageworthy stuff too, especially how Suika seemed to moonwalk her way out of the majority of my 5As then punish with a Dial-A of her own, and only a handful of them were chalked up to River Mist.

Where are you from, BTW.

>> No.3639329

Yeah, pretty fun games! Sorry for only playing with Suika, it's been a month I haven't played and I need to get back my playstyle! You are really tough, with all the characters.

I'm from France, it was a bit laggy for me the first two or three matches, but that's probably because of the laptop, which is currently on fire.

Really good games, the Okuu mirrors were especially interesting.
I'm not much for giving tips and stuff, since I kinda suck myself, but if I'm playing Sakuya and hit you with a j.6A near a corner, don't airtech or you WILL get a bunch of knives delivered to your face. I saw this a bunch of times and thought I might as well comment on it.

When you were Sakuya I thought you were throwing knives around a bit too randomly. It works against some people/characters but if I played srzbzns-style it would have been pretty suicidal since you were general within range of a guard crush most of the time. 'Course, I don't go for guard crushes, so you're safe against me.

>> No.3640364

Yes, there are certain moves you just have to let people use.

>> No.3640380

Sakuya, not randomly throwing knives everywhere? That goes against my idea of her!

Jokes aside, I've heard that a lot from people I've previously played. I'm getting better though, you should have seen me a month ago, I'd say my knives:melee ration was somewhere at 99:1.

You also let me hit you with Okuu's Melting Shower Kick waaaay too often. You can block it as long as it isn't superarmor weather, or you can duck it at any time (and hit me while I'm down).

GGs, Johan

I don't know what the hell's going on, but I really don't feel like playing now. Inputs fuck ups, hjcs no coming out, and RANDOM SLOWDOWNS!?? Got no problems getting owned, but under my own volition. When it's through no fault of my own, it's time to call it a game. Maybe another time.

>> No.3640459

>>3640416
I did block it.
I'm very sure I blocked it a lot of times.
Anyway, I just forgot that you can duck that move. Something to improve on I guess.

What are you two talking about? Melting Shower Kick is an unblockable grab. Good thing crouching makes it whiff otherwise Utsuho might be near overpowered.
