To be fair this year's sales have been pretty bad with the Gift sale feeling like a left-over stock from the event and AmiAmi not working well for this kind of sale. However last year was very good with 3 big sales from the Gift site itself so don't lose hope anon. The best thing you can do is to have some patience and don't buy for those ludicrous prices.

Most look like dogshit, Reimu, Marisa, Remilia, Sanae, Aya, and Tewi are incredibly wonky. Youmu, Yuyuko, and Komeijis look better but still look noticeably cheaper and like bootlegs, but if you don't have a real fumo to compare to I guess you can't really tell. The quality control for Reimus, Marisas, Sanaes, and Remilias are shit though they're just noticably bad.

Yuyuko's mouth has a loose thread but I pretend it's drool; Reimu's skin tone's a bit worrying but she's alright, apparently even legit ones have trouble sitting; lucked out with Marisa who looks the best, aside from her head sticking out instead of the usual fumo roundness she's fine, she just has a big brain. I got a Momiji on the way. Honestly I know almost nothing about Touhou except I love Momiji's design and she seems like a good loyal doggo from what I've read.

Hey now, I wouldn't just spend ~$260 (with shipping and all) on such a rare and precious item without getting informed on what I'm getting. Touhou is such a large franchise though it's not even clear where to begin.

Gotta love how it started with just one person making games, pretty fantastic origin story, but I'm not big on bullet hells, but the manga and anime look enticing - but also branching out and trying new game genres has been rewarding in the past.

It doesn't seem like Momiji gets a whole lot of attention, though, with only limited appearances, and very limited substantial ones. From here she seems like an ascended background/minor character.

Both Reimu and Cirno look appealing, too, design and character-wise, and the setting looks interesting.

I took Sanae to the fair the other night! Lots of rides and food, I had a bit of funnel cake! Fair sideshows I know are a scam, but they seem so much more expensive than how I remember them, and so are the food vendors.

You'll get a number of different answers depending on who you ask, but personally I started with 1 (Highly Responsive to Prayers) and played them in order and I'm glad I did. Even though 6 (Embodiment of Scarlet Devil) is a soft reboot you'll enjoy some of the later games more having played the PC-98 games first (notably PoFV and UFO). The one caveat is that I wouldn't attempt to 1cc them until LLS at the earliest which is IMO the overall easiest game.

Ultimately though it's up to you, just pick a game that seems interesting or start from HRtP or EoSD and play em in order. They're mostly self contained so it's honestly not a big deal. MoF isn't a bad place to start either if you want to see Momiji.

I think Satori's chin/neck looks a bit weird, since it just seems to blend without any definition, but Koishi is mostly ok - I think her ribbons might become a problem though, since they are so long. Her hat was a little bit folded too, due to settling during shipping, but hopefully that will flatten out. They sit up reasonably well, and don't fall forward, but they tend to fall to the left or right unless there's some contact with the surface behind them.

Compare them to V1 Marisa and Cirno.

Consolidation into one of the original deka boxes wouldn't be possible, regardless of who you ordered, although some fumos would fit in with Koishi. If your forwarder was able to put multiple dekas into some other single box, it may then also be classed as an oversized package, which will inflate the price considerably.
