I can't even get to tp phase boss

i'm going to run out of buckets before reaching e3 at all
doing expedition 2+4 isn't holding up

I forgot what under 6 figure baux looked like. It doesn't feel good.

Is Zara worth keeping? I've gotten her a couple times as a drop but this time I've considered keeping her, I know she can equip SPF despite still being a CA and not a CAV, but does that ever come in handy?
I feel like I have plenty of CA and CAV otherwise.

Unless you keep dupes, Zara as a backup SPF mule is pretty handy, especially when trying to save the best CAVs for later maps. Her high firepower comes in handy for main fleet duties even as a SPF mule, and for decent anti-installation night DA if in escort fleet.

Congratulations. While the air raid nodes are mostly harmless w/enough fighter power & subloli node often goes down to Toukai LBAS, U node & X node are definitely a mixed experience, but you'll mostly be annoyed at U node. Bring FCF for TP & chipping.

In my experience, Part 3 is long-drawn & tedious, but I somehow only retreated twice in 14 runs thanks to subtanking & FCF.

My part 4 chipping had a 40% pass rate, with Node U suddenly becoming 100% more competent even if the easier composition shows up.

Best fleet is the fast+ fleet. I think it's 3 CV(L) (CVL can prevent D at sub node), 2 CA(V), and Fumi. She's the only sub that can reach fast+ and she can tank the boss attacks.
Makes for very comfortable and cheap runs. Viable for Maruyu farming.

Pissed away something like 80k fuel on E2H P2 LD before I dropped to normal. Then I had to scrape the bottom of the barrel to do E3N starting with something like 25k fuel. All that's left is to beat W for the tank quest and if I'm lucky try and farm for Chougei as well.

For other historical planes/night planes, got the TBM-3D, F6F-3N, F6F-5N, F4U-1D, Re 2001 OR Kai x2, Re 2005 Kai.
Also got the Skua, Re, Ju 87 etc but since the wiki lists them as B1, they are pretty much pointless for modifiers.
No barracuda, since I took too much time with E2, so gave up clearing it on H. No fireball because I wasn't home this summer so I didn't have time for the new quests.

I converted my Kaga to E and she helped a lot on Hard, even though you lose some stats.
Strongly recommended.
A setup like Fulmar/Fw190/F6F-3N/TBM/Iwai FB on Akagi/Kaga would be very strong, for example.
I did it with two night carriers because the Whale and Sara were locked in Force H, but more is obviously better if you have the planes.
My fleet there was Akagi, Kaga, Zuihou, Nelson, Abruzzi, Libeccio and Maestrale.

A 5-slot night carrier is invaluable in that map, I sortied Kaga E straight out of remodel and she did fine.
Night Sara only has four slot but she's the third best night carrier, so if you're running 3CV 1CVL she's a great fit.
You probably cannot construct 4 "night nukes" or even 3, though, so plan well.

After literally ~20 times of not getting to boss with scuffed setup just to check if she is debuffed, when I had enough of this retarded routing and put on FCF, it's a fucking clear with failed TCI from Yahagi.
