Xenoblade doesn't use a turn-based combat system. 1 has a somewhat dull system but 2's combat is a lot of fun to play and Torna perfect the combat from 2. I won't deny the games have their issues, but they are my favorite jRPGs specifically because they do their best to keep you the player engaged.
