I got so much fucking useless MILLIONS of bucks mass-planting Level 10 strawberries, that I wish the game would have let me raise an army of my own to go and tell the king of Kardia and Ivan to go fuck themselves.

Game needed more shit to do. You could finish the whole thing comfortably by the first winter with so much excess money you wouldn't know what the fuck to do with it.

You need to buy a kitchen from the travelling merchant. He's only in town in specific days, I forget which ones. GameFaqs will know.

He sells certain things on certain days
He sells the kitchen and the fridge on the first day of the season
He sells the seed maker and other things on the 7th of the season
Etc
It's OK if you don't participate in events because you don't have the stuff, just make sure you go talk to people.
