you cannot learn chinese

i am at the point where i can understand native content well enough to enjoy easy stuff that i actually want to play

but a lot of it involves figuring out vocabulary i don't know through context

should i just say fuck it and keep playing since i understand the meaning of the language? i'm worried about learning the meaning of vocabulary without learning the readings. will associating the meaning with the kanji will help me to eventually acquire the readings naturally through more immersion?
