No it's a regular beer. Beer is beer regardless where you go. Things that go through a similar process get different names (eg: cider and mead). Corona isn't bad but it isn't great either, it tries to win market share by pandering to consumers as 'exotic' (at least in europe and the near east) since those beer markets tend to have one or two brands that monopolize the region.

I once went to a restaurant in Berlin that had 100 different kinds of beer form all over the world on their list.
There was a Japanese beer too. Asahi or something. It was actually pretty good.
