Okay /jp/, which do I play? F/SN or Umineko?

My last final is tommorow at noon, so I will soon have a lot of downtime. Seacats is pretty good, and I have already played episode 1 (but when my laptop was stolen I lost the save file, not that it really matters), F/SN I already have installed too, but I haven't even finished the intro. Looked interesting.

>> No.3877136

Both. They're pretty different, so play one, then if you get tired of it play the other to change the mood. I liked both pretty well.

>> No.3877132

Why not both?

>> No.3877139

Both, like people already said, but I'd suggest Umineko if you finished Episode 1.

He might mean what to play for that particular downtime tomorrow.

If it doesn't matter to you, just flip a coin. You'll be reading either one during our break anyway, won't you?

>> No.3877146

seacats only gets better after part 1, fate/stay night is also alot of fun.

I'd say F/sn because I am a type moon fag.

>> No.3877159

I probably will play both... eventually. But a week after tommorow I am taking a train to go visit parents till January, and I also need to keep in mind that I want to avoid any awkward SON I AM DISAPPOINT moments with my dad.

So questionable looking/sounding scenes might become an issue. Whichever one I play last might have to wait until February or later, because I have a bunch of shit to take care of as soon as I get back mid January.

Then Umineko sounds like your best bet. Worse comes to worse you can just explain it as a murder mystery story instead of with F/SN if one of the sex scenes or something happens as a parent or someone is nearby.

>> No.3877171

>>3877159
If that's the case, Umineko is definitely a better choice. No sex scenes, at least.

>> No.3877174

If you have a lot of time ahead of you in large blocks? Fate.

If you have a lot of time ahead of you in smaller chunks? Umineko.

Personally, I like F/SN so far, but I too have only played the first ep of Umineko. I am told 2 and 3 are even better, and I'm starting 2, like... right now.

>> No.3877177

>>3877159
Actually, after reading that, yeah, Umineko. Fate is more likely to result in SON I AM DISAPPOINT. It's exactly as Akihafag said.

Seacats it is then, but one more thing /jp/, what do you think about the Seacats anime? I keep hearing mixed reactions.
Also I am unsure whether I should beat ALL the episodes before watching it, or what.

No idea, give me some feedback please~

Most of the people I've talked to have said the pacing is horrible. Given what they told me about how the first arc was laid out, I'm inclined to agree, but I haven't seen it so I'm not in a good place to comment.

It's not that bad its just that all the long character development and inner monologue got cut out leaving anime only viewers very confused about character motivations and relationships.

Please read Umineko first (Twice if you want to refresh your memory or think of a theory or something after reading through it the first time.) The anime does have horrible pacing, leaves important things and scenes out, among other things.

Well, if you're planning on reading the VN, then I would say don't watch it. I say read an episode of the VN, then watch the corresponding episodes of the animu for that VN.

Don't play either. Just watch their anime adaptations and discuss it with /a/ .
