If you just want to beat PCB, play SakuyaA. She has homing shots in focus mode and does decent damage.

Personally I play as ReimuB since her power isn't as horrible as ReimuA and is decent for scoring.

Marisa is best for grazing points since she has the largest hitbox.

For IN, Boundary team is easier than all others by orders of magnitude. This is despite the fact that I would estimate their attack power at around 2/3 of Remilia's and barely more than 1/2 of Youmu's. Personally, I prefer Youmu solo or Remilia solo for spell practice, but I stick with Boundary teams for clearing the regular game and Extra because I'm a pussy.

seconding sakuyaA for pcb, because of widespread attack unfocused, homing attack focused, and 4 bombs per life. for IN, border team is definitely the easiest due to their homing attacks and easy deathbombs.

Yeah, Sakuya A is pretty much easy modo for PCB. Her bombs don't suck, but she gets 4 of them, her focused shots home in on enemies up to about 45 degrees left or right, and does really respectable damage. She's the best of all worlds.

As much as I love Yuyuko as a character, I can't stand to play as her. Her shots might actually manage to do less damage than Reimu's. I'm surprised they don't bounce off bosses. The only time I ever used Yuyuko was when I was running the clock down on Eirin's last word. I thought it was ironic to use the Deadly Butterfly to elude the Inescapable Butterfly Catching Web.

If you aren't good at Touhou it is always best to play Sakuya. In PCB she gets more bombs than everyone else and her homing focus shot is much easier to use than most others; it hardly matters which way you move, its going to hit. And in IN, when Sakuya team dies, they drop a bomb on death if you had any unused bombs.

Yeah, in IN Phantom characters can collect items without having max shot just by focusing. This also works when you play individual Phantom characters. I.e. Remilia, Yukari, Yuyuko, and Alice.

Depends on what you want to accomplish. If you're going for high score then timing Border Mode with enemy Spell Cards is more important.

In IN, I've actually gotten further with Team Ghost than anyone else (First time I've actually face-off against Eirin, now I can do it with Marisa/Alice), even though they get me killed quicker anywhere past Keine. One less speed star for Youmu and one more for Yuyuko, and they'd be the perfect team!
