GGs, Resident. Keep playing and researching. What you need right now is experience, practice, and knowledge, nothing that can be easily explained or pointed out. It might help to pick one character that you're particularly fond of, learn all of her attacks, memorize the most important combos, and then just use her for a while. When you don't need to concentrate on basics like that, it gives you more room to think about bigger things like holes in both you and your opponent's offense and defense. Thanks for the games. Yeah, GGs, Saje. I know I need to get one character down eventually. Every time I play I manage to feel out who works for me and who doesn't, although I am still more in the process of building a card base and building a deck for the characters I have a good feeling with. Also, thanks for the advice. Also if I don't get roughed up in the beginning, I won't learn to get better. And I am starting to get the hang of things thanks to tough opponents. I take my beatings and if I walk away with some better knowledge of the game, that beating was welcomed. Hope to play you again in the future and give you more of a run for your money than I tried to tonight, hehe.

Facing Youmu is just as frustrating as usual for me, but I have to admit that I chuckled a bit when you did a YOUMU ELBOW DROP right onto my gigantic rolling ball of ice, which ended the match. I didn't know that you could play as Alice, though! You had me really worried there at the end, I'm quite glad you just dropped your defense in time to edge the victory over to me; that was a really close match.

My Patchy though, as you saw, is bloody horrible. I can't decide if your Youmu or your Iku gave me the most trouble; either way, both were actually pretty good.

Me? YOU! I though agressive Guy and defensive Alice didn't mix, but shiiii. Alice is one of my dabble projects, along with Patchi (trash), Komachi (decent), Aya (lol, random), Iku (lol, random), and Youmu (fair). I finally found the lances helpful, but couldn't get my 623s to work against you at all. Stupid alt66 didn't want to cooperate, either.

You only had problems with Youmu because you got Cirno, and I abused the hell out of Sunshower weather. I would say the Iku match was the toughest. However random you saw me play was just as random on my end. Switchin to disco then forgetting the very next BnB setup...geez. I just need to learn the proper spacing of that tech and so decent follow ups... and friggin stick the damn BnBs.

Sorry, but I need to go. Try not to rely on 66C too much, it can get you destroyed. Use it if your opponent is in the air or about to hjc after an attack. If the opponent's on the ground, used 66B instead since it grazes.

Well, I downloaded both Touhou 12.3 ~Unthinkable Natural Law~ and Touhou Hitousen ~ Scarlet Weather Rhapsody~ (they weren't the .isos just the gamefolders), but I've been having a major issue. The problem is that I tried playing just Scarlet and it took several minutes to simply load the menu. Scrolling through and loading the menus works perfectly fine with no lag, but trying to play a game has the same issue (huge loadtime). Any idea what the problem is? Given the graphics I doubt its because of a mediocre computer, and yes, I tried a restart.

I wasn't getting bored but it'd be nice if you'd stop letting me hit you on wakeup. You hardly ever groundteched so I knew where you'd be after you got up and then you tried to poke after you got up giving me a free hit most of the time.
When your opponent is standing right next to you after you get up you should block since their melee attack will almost always beat yours. Of course, if you're feeling lucky you can try to use a move with invincibility frames to catch them off guard but if they block it you're left completely defenseless.

GGs Hak. I am pretty new to the game too. If you already haven't, build some card decks that suit your fighting style. I did this for most of the characters I use and since then have seen decent improvement.

GG to you too. I only made decks for Sakuya and Youmu, which are the two I seem to enjoy playing the most, and even those were quickly-made. Though, the mage I played in our little matchup was fun too (Yuyuko I think?).

Doing the 236B/C combos and the like are a pain in the ass though during battle. It would be nice if I could bind that key combination to "F" or something, but alas.

Yeah, put it this way, it was worse than a slideshow. I think it was me. I'm using a shitty mac with Parallels (has to last me for another quarter of a year before I get an Asus) to run Windows, in essence halving my available RAM.
