I know people will disagree, since I see they love this, but I have a nitpick.
It's a good story, but I have one major compliment and that is the butler. He's so unlikeable it hurts, which is good as a character, but the progress he goes on is kind of bad. The kiki slap would have been a good turning point making him realize that he fucked up, by insulting her womanhood, and being bratty. Basically he called her a slut, by just not saying it out loud.
The sentence:

Is a very good turning point, it would have been a good pre-climax highlight, because it says the reader: this character is bad person. This would be good arc's start where he can improve.
Now what happens instead:
She apologizes first. This was, what I really didn't like. Imo was a bad idea, as the slap was very well deserved. The kiki is abstruck, yes, but insulting her womanhood and cooking for a woman is like spitting in her eye. This is like when a man talks, and someone else starts talking over it, and he's being ignored. It's incredibly disrespectful.

Imo she should apologize AFTER the guy says: Okay sorry for being an asshole, and then she would say: Sorry for the slap. This would have created a lot better dynamic, as it railroads both to becoming better people. Then the dinner comes as the climax, and it would have created: "I thought you were a better guy, and should have slapped you harder" or something like this would raise the stakes and push the climax further, as it would almost eliminate the character improvement arc, essentially testing the two by giving the temptation to become even bigger enemies, which they need to solve.

I dunno how to say it but it feels like you want the reader to like Neil, and it seems like Monaste is teh one who needs to change only, because she's upstruck and represents ye olde way. Here it looks like "new good, old bad", kind of thing, instead of both improving.
Again: this is my opinion, and I understand why people will say I'm wrong, but I'll stood by this. I liked the demon tho. Thank you for reading my blog.
