Tangentially related to projects getting killed, eraH dev rejoined one of the jap discords and has been working on it again, some good looking stuff.

Updates:

- I've been busy with IRL stuff, but I found time to get back to Alice and now her commands are all done except the Followup Commands (threesomes, cervix tease, etc.) Hopefully I'll have the commands finished by next week.

Drinking level is honestly the least important part of the calculation.

In order to get screwed by Mamizou's little shits, you need a score of 9 or less.
Daily Fortune gives between 0 and 9 points, Omikuji Fortune can give between -5 to +5 points, another random roll specific to the event gives another 0 to 9 points, and finally your drinking talent is applied, adding -2 to +3 depending on its level.

So you really need to flub several rolls to get low enough to trigger the negative events, and waiting for negative Fortunes doesn't help much either, since you still need to trigger the Tanuki event and not roll one of the others on the gacha, making it very unreliable.

A functional card game. You draw cards and play them. Mostly you need to pay appropriate MAG cost to put card on field, they enter tapped and can be used the next turn. Each card has AP(attack) and HP(health). You declare attackers and opponent declares who blocks what.
Some demons have passive (like Virtue here, who can attack and block) and active skills (like "pay 1+tap to deal 2 damage to target).
Some demons you have to sacrifice materials to summon (again, like Virtue who needed 2 materials and 1 MAG). Of course, costlier and fusion demons are much stronger.
Flying demons can only be blocked by fliers(raised cards).
Each turn you get either 4 MAG or whatever demons give you - fusion and same-aligned demons give 2, so you're incentivised to go for alignment builds.

Where is the class selection bit stored in the games files for eraMegaten? I want to modify the selection to let me play with a different persona/demon.

So is Card Summoner for eraMegaten pretty much a 'solo' run? In pretty much all my runs so far, even as the traditional Devil Summoner, I've always ran with a full human party as my 'permanent' party, with the only times I've actually used 'demons' was to Trust fall special demons, like the concert-related demons and megukas. Even with Persona users and when I was doing a Persona run myself, I didn't fuse/level demons deliberately to turn into stronger personas, mostly because of again meguka providing a Persona summoning item.

Do human characters in a party have anything to do with a Card Summoner, or are they an entire mechanic onto themselves?

1. Install flatpak bottles and make a new wine prefix with bottles.
2. Get fonts and put them into bottles's wine prefix.

Yuuma's schedule is annoying. The window where her room is unlocked is too small. I have an autistic need to meet characters in their room (if they have one), or at their job location. Those without rooms I have to meet in whatever I consider the common area of each particular map.
Speaking of schedules, many of them seem inconsistent. Characters who wake up on their shouldn't insist that they don't have time to date when they aren't doing working and have no work scheduled just because the number says they're not "active" yet. Seems to happen more often when you visit their map as a non-resident.

Most characters seem to step out of their rooms within an hour anyway so you're going to have to set aside the same time every day with anyone you want to meet in the same manner.
You can also set your schedule to hers, if you're in her room.

Except that I want to greet her and everyone else on the first day. First time metting. I also disable visitors so I only interact with the people on their map. If I accidentally greet someone when they are not in one of the locations I allow myself to meet them, I restart the day. Yuuma is the only character who is finicky enough to make that an actual hassle for me. At least I can cook food in time stop to prevent Shion from meeting me earlier than I want. Just take a look at the schedules and make them more consistent, please? That's all I'm asking.

I specifically only care about first meetings (for roleplay reasons). I want to greet Yuuma while she is in her room, same with every single other character on each map. Every character on that map, I have to greet on the first day, either at work or in their room. Since Yuuma's workplace is on a different map, I have to greet her in her room.
I do the same thing on other maps. Move to the Hakurei Shrine, I have to greet everyone in their rooms; people who work Ion the map I greet them at their work schedule.
Only after I do this for every single map do I allow visitors. Now do you see the problem? Yuuma gives me the most difficulty of any character.

I would cheat edit waking her up, but her door remains locked even when she's awake, and I can't move her to her room during timestop when that happens, since if I undo time stop, it will trigger her greeting me. There's an inconsistent window where her room isn't locked, but that's unreliable. There might be a bug with her room and schedule? Again, no other character gives me this much trouble.

I'm not sure if you're talking about NG+ or when just starting a fresh game, where you only have 100 TSP to work with. I'd actually be surprised if you can even visit every single location on every single map with just 100 TSP.
If you're stilling on over 4000 TSP, then this should be easy enough. You can literally be everywhere at 7AM and at any other time frame you need.

The problem with Yuuma is that her door remains locked when she is supposedly active. Her schedule has her asleep, she immediately goes to work at the blood pool on another map, and then when she returns from work, her room stays locked (inconistently). Other rooms don't do that when the character is awake. I can't even drag her to her room in time stop, because it is locked. So I have to be very careful and drop her outside of it, and hope she wanders to her room. I don't know anything about what in the code is causing that.

Characters living on their own always lock their rooms if they're not present and don't either have the player also live there or have a Love fall state.
It's extremely consistent.

If you're going only by whatever that's mostly translated, there isn't much of era variety to play around with. Which results in mostly TW players who always seem resistant to any change that can have has an effect on how it's always played. One of the problems is that most of the other games are kind of in a disappointing state. I probably would've tried the eraTW-FGO one, but lacking any images like the Toho games is pretty disappointing on top of nothing being translated. LiG is, as I said, in an even more lacking state than the basic eraToho-TW package. EraTohoYMAEM seemed okay, although last time I played, the max money I was making wouldn't have been enough to pay back the loan in a full 50 days, to say nothing about the time I had left. eroTohoPM seemed less interesting, although I'm not a huge Kagura fan.

So it's mostly TW, K, and Megaten as the decent games. I'm pretty bad with the K strategy and the AI can't autoresolve it's way out of a cardboard box, and Megaten doesn't seem too sexy, so I'm mostly just playing TW. There's a bunch of random side content in TW so I'm happy running through all of it for now.

I guess it's a bit unfair that TW and Megaten have had work done on them continuously over the years, and that K is mostly 'complete' in terms of mechanics and such, just needing more character-specific dialogue and events added in. A great too many era projects had started and stalled within that time period, including some that do have promising/interesting mechanics or scenarios to them. I'm still sad that eraJK died, since it was turning out to be 'eraArtificialAcademy'.

As for eras like TohoYMAEM, it's unfortunate but for eras like it (including eraInSchool), it's usually nearly impossible to pay off the loan without either some extreme min-maxing or at least selling at least one or two characters first. At least in eraInSchool, with the 10% interest every week, even if you turn all the rich Highschool DxD girls into your waifus, income from their deep pockets aren't enough unless you move to a different school containing a [Negotiation] character to shave off the loan a bit provided you remember to set them as Assistant on the day before the loanshark shows up.
Speaking of which, it'd be nice if eraMegaten could somehow work around the whole 'need to be set as Assistant' thing for certain skills like [Treatment], because I'm otherwise pulling Mari along to every training session even though she just stands there and does nothing, because of the physical energy regen bonus.

As far as images for eras goes, it's because of the whole 'must not use official works' thing the Japanese era community has going. It's why AL-K is essentially banned from there, as the dev insisted on using official artwork (and music) for the characters, for example. TW/K was just lucky that they've had a dedicated artist or two to allow for the consistent character looks; Megaten also has images but is not consistent due to it (then again, it covers games from a wide range of different artists for official works).

But fear not! If the lack of images is one of the factors that make you unable to enjoy a game, then for some of the eras still in production, like eraFL, eraH and eraBlue_Resort, they've all found a solution! It all just comes down to whether you are one of those people who react violently to AI-generated images.

For erablue_resort, still not much content nor characters, but they have been working on allowing (You) to pilot your own airship for special dungeons and such, including being able to equip weapons on it. As for eraFL, I guess it's still moving along? Only eraFL has completely original characters and setting at this time, and uses a portrait creation system whose pieces are generated using AI. They are at least keeping it consistent but it does mean that there is sameface syndrome amongst females. That said, you can either disable the portrait system completely or use your own fixed image, so if you at least want some sort of picture for the character(s), you could insert your own. eraFL's portrait system also has built-in facial expressions, like if they're sad, angry or horny. The only character(s) that the portrait system does nothing for them are males. But that works out because everyone knows that faceless male MC-kun is easier to self-insert than a male with an actual face.

As for eraH and eraBlue_Resort, you can't disable the portraits, so you're stuck looking at them (the ones that currently do have them, anyway). They're certainly not bad at all, with them all looking exactly like their official counterparts with little to no weird parts (unless you consider 'skirt puddle' to be a weird part), so if your only reference for 'AI-generated images' for era were the earlier (and some current) images for TW, you should at least take a look at them before deciding on that. TW has been a pretty good balance for me between having a lot of systems to play around with and allowing me to fuck around and do my own thing. I can just screw around with cleaning and mixing and dating Touhous without being heavily restrained by the game, or I can work through all the subsystems. Hell, I just found out the game has gardening about a week ago, and I've been screwing around with the game for about a year. I just never went through all the shops in Human Village to notice there were gardening tools available.
By contrast, LiG has basically no systems and playing K requires you to pretty much know how to do everything (at least to some degree) because the Player Auto-CPU seems fairly incompetent. I'd likely be playing K more if my army didn't immediately fold like a soggy napkin the moment anybody attacked. Or maybe I just always pick the shit armies.

For images, I've really liked how a lot of the eraToho games handled it. The small character image and preferably with some facial expressions. The small file size keeps things from getting too huge, but just the face and image helps keep characters distinct and avoid the obvious issue that most characters are effectively the same mechanically. I'm not a huge fan of AI-generated images, especially given how generic they tend to be, but I'm not against seeing how things turn out.

The one on the English github is up to version 1.061, which I think doesn't include the correction patch put out a few days after, but the latest version is version 1.062. However, since it seems like it's been one guy doing the translation, it's pretty much at the 'translated to be playable enough' stage.

I've always enjoyed AL-K because it actually tries to change from the whole traditional K style of 'big numbers win unless certain big boom-boom skills proc' thing, by breaking down combat to being focused around entirely on the types of shipgirls you send as a fleet, with the 'troop numbers' being more as 'supplies'. General fleet combat is generally broken down to Air Combat (if applicable; if no carriers then no air combat) for aerial superiority and subsequent attack on the enemy fleet for the carrier(s) with the stronger stat totals, then the actual close range fleet combat. If there are submarines involved they perform torpedo attacks either prior to or after the air attacks, in which ships with anti-sub equipment counterattack, before they perform one more torpedo attack on the way out. If you send a fleet consisting of subs only you can whittle down enemy fleets in this way since only the submarine combat phase happens, and makes them unable to move away since they initiated combat. Only problem is that subs can't take bases by themselves.

That said, considering how much is being changed, there are a lot of, at times, weird bugs around, including the 'crash out of emura' variety. There's also the ongoing issue of since the focus is more on the individual ship girls themselves, the sort of stuff they're able to do is based on the equipment they have equipped (using an expanded 'clothing' system). So a carrier with no planes is useless in air combat, subs with no torpedoes won't do that much at all, a fleet without ASW equipment will be at the mercy of subs (can still damage them, but not as well), etc. This doesn't seem like a big issue until two things: the AI doesn't know how to, or when to, 'upgrade' or give additional equipment to ship girls, and that if you have generic officers on, they all get recruited completely naked. So once you start upgrading equipment (requires certain technology researched; equipment available is based off your 'Ruler' characters' faction affiliation unless you finish the research that gives you access to all equipment regardless of faction), you might end up with T3 vs T1 enemies which generally result in a stomp unless their stats and skills are good enough to win the fight anyway, and with generic officers starting naked, they generally weigh down enemy fleets and serve more as rape material (by (You) or the Special Factions). Unless you also don't equip them, that is. Then there is the 'problem' of 'future tech' being available at the start (stuff like Aegis Cruise Missiles and stuff), which is currently only a problem for (You) to ignore slapping onto applicable ships to be OP right away.

Note that the AI-CPU can still be a bit incompetent, with them either throwing tens of thousands of supplies ('soldiers') as garrison on individual border cities to the point where sometimes in a non-ruler play you might have to personally reduce the garrison numbers and raise and move your own fleets around, or else suffer the good old K issue of all-inning on a fleet in one direction while losing everything from an attack from behind.

But yes, despite all those prevailing problems to me, I enjoy AL-K much more than the original tohoK itself. I mean, I can see why the dev author insisted on the official works, because they by themselves for most part are very fitting for a K-like game. AL-K is definitely one era game where the images make the game significantly more enjoyable.

Just a tip if you've never played AL-K and have Special Factions activated - there are a bunch of Siren shipgirls with names like Hierophant XVIII and such with like 100+ stats to almost everything. Incredibly strong, but once the Siren Special Faction appears, they will all leave whatever faction they were in to join the Sirens as officers (only pre-created ones; custom characters and generic officers who are Sirens won't do this). If one of those Sirens happened to be a Ruler, their faction will become an ally (or Puppet State?) of those Sirens as well. On a side note, if you joined the Sirens willingly you will still get subjected to the experiments as an unwilling participant, but if you end up marrying the ruler before you normally fall, all the Siren officers will immediately also treat you as a sex to- I mean, you can bang them all too! You also become a willing participant of the experiments though.

My memory on this is hazy, but I think having a high Exhibitionist score may (not 100%, even with max S) go nopan for from the start of the day, but that's pretty much about it (other than stealing their panty to make them nopan, that is). I think the most you can do is to make yourself nopan as well, but sometimes that is a bit funky in whether it actually works or not. But otherwise the only time anyone will be naked without sexy time involved is if they're bathing; there's no in between here. Unless there was a special 'clothing day' event or mass-hypnosis that makes everyone wear micro bikinis or similar. Maybe a persisting Common Sense Alteration used through an item that costs a significant amount of TSP at the start of the day that makes 2hus in your home area change their clothing on the spot, and while they're in your area, according to what you want? To expand a bit on this, if you plan on siding with Kyuubey, make sure it's on your Dark (on the Light-Neutral-Dark scale) run, and to do all the endings related to being Dark first. That's because siding with Homura locks you to Light alignment, thereby making you ineligible to complete some specific endings that require you to be Neutral or Dark alignment. Having some sort of specific interactions with different character-NPC races might be interesting. Some characters would be more standoffish against a human PC as opposed to a fairy PC. However, remember that you're locked into a human PC until your first reset (assuming we mean TW) as so you're asking lots of additional dialogue from lots of characters for alternative options which most people won't even run across. "Cirno talks to another ice fairy" sounds neat until you realize that most people won't be picking ice fairy and so won't ever even see it.

These sound more like character-specific events. As in, you get closer to Reimu, you can trigger a quest chain which results in throwing a party at the shrine where you're preforming a concert yourself.
The concern I'd have with trying to change the location is that you can move around. Why are people visiting the shrine more to enjoy the music and food you make when you're now living in the underworld these days? And if you just rip all that out once you move, if feels a lot more obviously artificial.

Children are almost always with the mother, then at a certain age they can be also found in a random spot on your home map playing danmaku or singing, or in your room just so you can always find them to interact with them. I think you can even use tsp to find them in two spots at the same time if you're lucky.
You're free to ignore them, they prevent the girl from pushing you down but you can push your girl down as if the kid never existed. Just make sure you interact with them sometimes, or else they'll grow up unhappy.

I try to push everybody into Leading Around range so that I can either grind their stats easier or use their support for increasing skills. I've not really seen anybody particularly amazing at that, and I don't think I've ran into anybody who changes their options once in love.

If you need to break the game to allow it, then she won't have any dialogue lines outside whatever generic default ones there are. So even if you break the code, you won't get any sort of meaningful reply from her in doing so. Or worse yet, you'd probably get the Love replies since her only responses along those lines would be when she's in Love.
I mean, if you just want to rape her, then there is TSP or sleeping pills with Forbidden Knowledge. If you want her awake and responding, then I assume you want her to say something in response. Which would probably be disappointing when she just doesn't, because the game likely isn't coded for that to even happen.

Not an ending but the Revue Starlight content for Nana Daiba requires you to replay it three times (in new runs) to get her good ending, though you need to finish Revue Starlight nine times anyway if you want to get all the characters' awakened form. Why would they use all of their autism on something extra rather than the main story you ask? I've got no idea; hell, everything except the training part has been fully translated too.
At least for the endings, I don't think there's anything more convoluted than Longinus and perhaps Lokapala's storyline, though the DeSu1 storyline/dungeons looks like it'll be annoying too if they actually bother finishing em. You should take a look at the wikiJP for practically everything, there are in-depth explanations for endings, easter eggs, etc. so you can plan ahead for your most optimum run.
