AmiAmi is a good place for the 'official' Gift fumos. They're good quality but really expensive depending on where you live. Where I am in the midwest two fumos rack up to 80 bucks plus an additional 40 in shipping. No idea where the sweet spot is in terms of shipping costs but I'm not made of money and they're too damn expensive to buy ones you don't really care for. Bootlegs on the other hand are considerably cheaper, come in different characters than what Gift makes, and while vary a lot in quality may be better in some cases when it comes to design and feel.
The best time to buy fumos on AmiAmi is when a set is being shipped, they're limited in number and you'll have to be on top of timing, but they are cheaper (because several months is enough time for inflation to make a difference in Yen vs Dollars) and ships immediately so you won't be waiting long.
If you miss a release with a character you really like and want, then look for bootlegs or the rare occasion when an anon here is selling his own.

Could anyone share their experience buying fumbos on Aliexpress? Specifically from the fumoxfumo seller which seem to be of decent quality. I haven't bought anything from Aliexpress before so I'm curious if the suggested shipping times are accurate and generally about the site's reliability.

The benefit of buying bootlegs of unreleased characters is that it feels less bootleg-like, but it would suck if an official one comes out with a completely different design. Kourindou reimu is so rare nowadays there's no real "market price" for her. I can't remember the last time I've seen one on YJA. Still, 55k yen is a bit much for even the rarest fumos, you'd hardly see one go for more than 33k.

For small packet, the limits are 2Kg (unreachable by the softs) and width+length+height = 90cm max.
Amiami packs the softs with plenty of extra space, let's assume 20cm height, 10cm depth, 10cm width.
With three softs that's 20x10x30, 60cm if summed. That leaves 30cm margin, a lot, so yeah, you can very likely have three fit in a small package.
In theory you could have up to 9, which is 20x30x30, 80 summed, but it depends a lot on the kind of box they'd use.
