if a C2Q at 3.4Ghz and an 8800 GTX arent good enough then i dont know what is. After 4 years still running games maxed out at 1920x1200 is what i call pretty fucking good. Upgrading CPU wont be worth it for at least another 4 years to get any noticable improvement and i'll see what the HD6970 will be like when it comes.

Colossus is totally worth trying a console for, even with emulating. IMO it's one of the best console games ever, way underrated. It's essentially a compilation of sixteen fucking epic huge boss battles. There is no grindan needed, so the time investment is minimal.

I'd play it.

Artfags fap over it because the story is told not through walls of text or long ass dialogues, but through visual means. Wander's gradual darkening, the cracking statues, etc.

Like the horse- the horse is just, well, a horse... You know it's name is Aggro, but other than that, nothing. The fact that you're with it for all the game, and that it nearly gets itself killed trying to save you make it more than just "that horse," but rather a valued companion. Noone ever talks about the horse, the horse doesn't have a back story, but you like it nonetheless, and unless you're heartless, you feel a pang of sorrow when you see it fall off the bridge.

Of course these sorts of things are lost on ADDfags who jump in and go "OKAY WHEN DO I GET TO KILL THINGS!!!" and ignore the "why" part of the exposition. Thinking that "when the game wants to tell me some story I'll be pressing X through a bunch of dialogue boxes" is one of the exact gaming conventions this guy was trying to break.
