How about this Yukari!

Onis were just normal people who had that skin condition which makes your face all red. And due to being made fun of etc for being different, they started drinking to dull the pain! And to further show that they are not like the other peoples, that make fun of them due to their redder than normal skin, they started to wear headbands with horns! And all the talk about Onis being stronger with alcohol is all because of drunken rage, + the alcohol they enjoy further reddens the skin by making the blood flow much more!

Onis do not excist! They were just normal people with a skin condition, shunned by society, turning into drunks! Things like Onis do not excist!

Oni stem from ancient Japanese popular belief in invisible spirits influenced by Chinese tradition. In onmyoji, ancient oni were associated with the "demon gate" of the Northeast, also read as the "cow/tiger" direction, and thus in the 15th to 16th century the popular image of oni as we know them today was finished by incorporating the horns of a cow (or more likely a bull), the tigerskin loincloth which later came to signify ferocity, and the red/blue skin tones shamelessly copied from various Chinese demons.
