Holy shit /jp/, I just spent about 45 minutes crying over ep. 12 of this drama.

I fucking love it. This is what an ending should be like, a fucking emotional rollercoaster.

And fuck, Horikita Maki is amazing. Absolutely love her. She is cute, funny, adorable and pulls off a very different role in every show she does. Oguri Shun has been typecast as the "Mysterious, yet Cool silent type", but he does it well. I don't know who played Nakatsu or Nanba, but both of them were great. As well as Tennouji, Nakao and the Aura-guy. Loved those guys.

Oh and for god's sake, someone tell me where I can watch the Doctor. He was fucking great.

HanaKimi appreciation thread time, /jp/
Or at least, dorama appreciation thread.

I wish both Nakatsu and Sano could've gotten her in the end. Shit would've been kinda hot to watch, too.

I'm disappointed in the day (japan time) crowd of /jp/
I know that you all enjoyed a dorama at least once.

I am disappoint.

I have yet to watch a single one, sorry. And I don't feel like it at all.

Yeah, the final episode of Hana Kimi made me cry like a faggot too. Nakatsu route where ;_;

I've seen a couple of do-do-do-dorama. But stopped after I realized how predictable they are. HanaKimi was great, even though I watched mainly for the boys... Including Gokusen seasons 1 and 2. lol

not seen it yet, and can't comment. It's a sad truth that Japanese dorama tend to have a lot of LCD bullcrap in them making them almost unwatchable. The Otomen dorama is a perfect example. It was so packed with retarded shit and grating flavor-of-the-moment guest stars that I couldn't even make it through the first episode.

However, the odd good ones are worth it. I loved Liar Game and its sequel and movie last season, for one.

bro tears ;_;

>>5282332
True, they are predictable, then again most VNs are predictable, most anime is predictable, most manga is predictable, most movies are predictable... It all is predictable, man. So who cares? If the story is well told and makes you care about the characters to the point of tears, they did a good job.

>> No.5282358

>>5282352
I think the point is, if the storie was good it wouldn't be predictable, but that's just my opinion.

Being predictable and being good aren't mutually exclusive. It's like going to watch a really good history movie based around the events of WWII or Hitler's fall. You already know how it ends. How is told is what matters.

I don't see why the same can't be applied to dramas.

Basically what >>5282358 said. For me, what matters the most is how I feel after it ended. Too many times I've seen dramas where I've enjoyed the story, despite being able to predict just about every little thing that was going to happen next, only to reach the end and feel extremely disappointed that I wasted 5 or 6 hours of my life because I saw it coming from episode 1.

You're right about VNs, movies, anime, manga being predictable to some extent. But the sad thing about dramas is that they follow the same exact formula and keep shoving that formula down your throat whereas the other mediums will have other factors that allow me to direct my attention to something else and forget that IT'S ALL THE SAME SHIT.

And it's always the same roster of actors and actresses.
Would it hurt to let some normal salary guy/woman looking person act? Or do they not exist.
