The Shiranui is more of a general military use mecha, while the Takemikaduchi was for vassals of the emperor. I think someone likened them to the GM and Gundam but I could be wrong.

The US equivalent F22 Raptor has stealth technology apparently which can give it an edge in TSF to TSF combat.
