With the little crescent moon on her hat, unnaturally long life and of course the magic, she's always struck me as sort of designed in the same vein as Merlin, only of course hot and moe as fuck. Since Merlin was a part of Arthurian legend, I've always associated Patchy as probably being British as a result.

From the first moment you first see her, she's white as a sheet. Even if she was born in India or has some other exotic yet-to-be-told backstory (doubt it)... that doesn't mean that her heritage isn't European.

Also if she was muslim then she would summon Arabic-type demons like efreets; Koakuma is a succubus and succubi / incubi are one of the most recognizable classes of christian demonology. Yeah incubi/succubi have existed in some form throughout history, but the winged red-eyed devil form of it (Koakuma to a T) is christian, no doubt about it.

Interesting conjecture but ultimately self-serving for people with the desire that ZUN makes some brown Touhous. Regarding that, too bad, I think he's kind of way too racist to attempt that for a while, like many Japanese. They are too racist to even admit acceptance of whites in real life, yet obviously they to some extent are aware of our achievements and so we often get incorporated (or weirdly hybridized to be more acceptable as part-Japanese) in their stories.
