Diablo 2 has better itemization, better level design, much more entertaining boss fights, and even the regular mobs become much more unpredictible with random enhancements and immunities. It has virtually infinite replay value and I've yet to tire of it after all these years.

Diablo 1 is a good game, I'll admit, I like it very much myself. But you can't say Diablo 2 hasn't improved on it. And I'll refrain from passing judgement on Diablo 3 until I get to play it, though I don't have high hopes.

If you hacked maybe. It would take forever to do it without cheats which makes it have great replay value, not the 0 replay value you mentioned.
Diablo 2 got stupid. Cow levels, cow levels and more cow levels to get items.
Diablo 1 was challenging. It was actually hard to beat without cheats. Diablo 2 was easy and shitty.

You're a fucking retard, if you build a character that is pure one element(as the synergy patch forced you to do) you should still be able to kill everything with it. At most the damage should severely reduced against an enemy instead, but never nullified. The point of hackNslash is to keep you on your toes, not to force you to wait until something else kills it for you or to make you have to play one of a couple builds to progress on your own.

The crap reduded class variety to 1-3 viable builds per class. Sorc that goes dual or tri is shitty and won't cut it in hell since everything was boosted so much. So you are forced to go one element, and then let your hench handle everything you can't which is not how a hackNslash should be. If you have to sit around because you literally can't do anything(not because you set yourself up, but because the game decided to throw stuff that makes you useless), then it fails as a game of the genre.
